There must some legal implications here. He might still be on the United payroll and if he signs for another club he ain't getting that money. Guess we will find out next year when accounts for this season are out.

Wasn't he given an extension which was retracted and now it's with lawyers? Pure speculation I know but if he was on a free someone would have taken him even on a 6 month deal.

He was getting a contract extension, then ETH went on a bender in Amsterdam, took all sorts of mind altering drugs with some Cameroonian tourist who claimed he was a keeper, but has pictures of what ETH did in the banana club after, so he got a contract and DDG was let go.

No. We offered him a new deal, but couldn't give him assurances he would he No 1, so he didn't sign.

Onana has grown on me I must admit. He’s not perfect but outside of the CL he’s been good.

with Onana nothing initially sticks in his hands. He either slaps, or punches or parrys the ball or allows the ball to cushion off his body on the floor before he gets his hands on it. Im not convinced that he could actually catch a cross or a corner.

For added context (not necessarily directed at you RBW), De Gea was 20th in this regard last season.

Bloodred, I'd guess not many keepers have faced as many shots on target as him too. It's true of any keeper that the more stress you put the defence under, the more mistakes he'll make. Of course Onana has let himself down this season, but I think a world class keeper would look worse than he is in this United, and he would probably look like an above average shot stopper and excellent distributer playing for the likes of Arsenal.

Onana is certainly looking better - I don't feel anywhere near as nervous as I did a few months when I know a shot is coming (which is every few minutes, of course).

However, as someone has said above, not enough sticks to him. Even when he makes good saves, he parries them back into, or to close to, the danger area. Other than that, he's generally been decent for a while now. Should have saved Chelsea's first goal though.

Onana has been good for you domestically, surprised united fans are still so down on him

His clangers have been less frequent, but he still makes some odd decisions (parrying)
