The latest guest on the Overlap this week speaking about his time at United, and he reminded us just how much of a cuuuunt Mourinho is.
On being at Manchester United compared to Bayern Munich:
"People were amazing. Stadium, walking on the pitch, nothing better. Facilities... actually not as modern as I expected to be honest."
Bastian Schweinsteiger: "I was training alone for at least three months... I don't know why, but I still was super happy at #mufc, and I loved to wear the jersey."
“I was very sad because I really consider Manchester United as a second club in my heart. I gave a lot when I played."
On Jose Mourinho:
"When I came back first day, I came to Carrington, and John Murtough was there and he said, 'you're not allowed to walk into the dressing room' – I said why. He said that the coach said so. No warning."
Someone could have told me or explained it to me. I went to the youth dressing room and asked who I was training with. He said there's the 16s team, so I trained with them."

Fair enough, like I said earlier Jose probably could have gone about it better but I still don’t think it’s that big a deal (considering how insignificant Bastian time at the club was), he’s done worse things like you’ve listed. I haven’t bothered listened to the interview but it’s interesting that he supposedly has no idea why Jose would do what he did to him if the reports about him were true.

Ha. I’ve always got time for Jose, he’s an absolute cuuunt but you need your cuuunts in football otherwise it would be boring. It’s drama, you need the right balance, it’s what makes it so fascinating.

I don't mind a cant on the pitch, and a bit of sideline needle is ok too, but José just takes it everywhere he goes, including with his own players and staff. Maybe if there'd been one or two isolated instances, but he's had problems with people everywhere he's gone. Too much for me.

Theologically speaking, the Antichrist had to exist in order to create cosmic balance. Can you say the same about Mourinho? Are we saying that without Mourinho there would be no Gareth Southgate? I think I could live with that.
