First step to get back on track

Very important win and from here it's going to be tough to win the league but we've got to be in position to capitalise if City stutter however unlikely that might be. We've had a bit of luck today that the likes of Neto wasn't available that would of been a horror show if he had been up against Kiwior. Fair play to Raya that save in the first half was so important if that goes in we may of gone under.

I just can't understand what Arteta is seeing in Havertz in midfield it's a disaster. I mean it's not even a difficult choice put him up front where he can offer something.

I can only assume the knee injury Jesus supposedly has done something to him we all know he's not a great finisher but he just looks off it in all other departments. We are gonna have to play a lot better in the next two games hopefully this gives us a base to build from but it's a worry that key players are running on fumes.

Today was a good opportunity to rest other players, instead we got the predictable Trossard for Martinelli, change of left back and Havertz dropping into midfield for Jesus.
Given how fatigued the team looked it is amazing we made just 2 subs - the predictable Martinelli for Trossard, and the predictable move Havertz up top and replace Jesus with a midfielder. The 2nd sub wasn't until the 80th minute.

On Tuesday we will probably change the left back, put Havertz up top and bring in a midfielder. The subs will just be the reverse.

We got away with it today, lucky Wolves were down to the bare bones.

One can hope this victory will reignite the spark but energy levels are still low. Why is ESR not playing?
Kiwior is crap at times & yes Havertz is a disaster in midfield. Is Arteta running out of ideas? We all know he’s not the biggest risk taker (another clean sheet, just thankfully) but Chelsea in few days time will be tricky, when really it should be a routine win.

Massive result. Still expect City to win the league but I want to see us at least push them all the way rather than fall apart.

Partey should be up to speed, but has hardly played since returning to fitness.
Kai as an 8 does not work.
It was nervy today until the second goal.

Shame that Tomiyasu is back in the medical room. Hopefully the team has enough to beat Chelsea (could have done with an extra time and pens loss for them maybe as a win probably would have galvanised them).

After that, it's a 5 day gap, 6 day gap, 8 day gap and 7 day gap so we will just have to hope that's enough to give the players sufficient rest to win these final 5 games.

That's said. Havertz had a solid game yesterday. Dont know what people watching.

Partey stabilised us after we started to stutter in the second half. And he has to start against Chelsea for me because I am sure Chelsea will target Jorginho. We need Rice in the press, and although he is no De Bruyne in attacking movements, at least he has scope to grow.
