The Morning After - Coventry edition

Well, yesterday wasn't pretty in the end was it? Never have I felt so deflated after winning a semi final. However, after sleeping on it I've tried to come up with some positives...

- For 70 minutes we controlled the game
- We're in the final. Better than losing yesterday!
- The owners will have seen first hand what they should really already know. The team needs work.
- The Alternative Comms should be good
- Lastly, and probably most importantly IMO, the fact Coventry weren't given that goal at the end has boiled so much p*** that I'm finding it really funny. Even when we're crap people still want us to lose!

Onwards again to Wembley. Hopefully the players will want to right that performance in a few weeks.

Ten Hag: “This game is not an embarrassment, I don’t see that word… it’s a huge achievement”.

“We achieved two finals in two years. From all the setbacks we’ve had, even today we had 3-3, and need consistency from the referee”.

I’ve just seen this now, this man needs his P45 asap.

He's drowning though. The last thing he needs to do now is call out his players in public. Whatever we think he needs to do what Coventry fail to do and keep them onside.

Whether we win the FA Cup or not, I also feel that ETH needs to go.
However, in various interviews, you can tell he's not happy, but doing his best to be as positive as he can. I don't blame him for that, but he knows and we all know it's not been great all year, not just yesterday.
But he's here til the end of the season, so we just got to make the most of it

Onana, Shaw, Malacia, Maguire, Varane, Lindelof, AWB, Dalot, Casemiro, McTom, Mount, Rashford, Bruno, Antony, Martial.

All the above have been branded ‘not good enough’ by all or some of us, so what exactly do we expect the manager to achieve, especially as half of these have been out for lengthy periods with injury.

Not to mention the protracted takeover, Sancho, Antony and Greenwood stuff.

One of the most embarrassing games I've ever watched as a United fan.

Sometimes, all you can do is laugh.

Do you really expect him to say "I just want to season to be over"?

Over the years, United have given us so many experiences, put us through the gamut of emotions. But this season has broken new ground, taking us to places hitherto only really explored in tragicomedy and the Theatre of the Absurd. Some call ETH clueless. I call him an artistic genius comparable with Samuel Beckett.

Weird and very very entertaining game. Better team for 70mins the Coventry woke up, probably should have lost at the death, as ETH says got away with that. What a game

Has any other team ever been embarrassed to get to a major cup final before? Or been expected to be embarrassed?
