Is joining us. I give him one season and he will be probably sacked and maybe Alonso may then fancy the job with expectations so low.
He no doubt agreed to work on a shoe string budget.
Looks like Vickie pollard

It’s going to be a huge shift in structure. I was pleased that if we had to let go of Klopp go we have the best in the business with Edwards to steady the ship.
I’m not entirely convinced a ‘coach’ and less being a manger will work out for us. The pressure won’t go away because the structure changes.
Only time will tell but I’m happy with what’s been done so far.

Total neutral. In fact, if anything I’ve had a bit of a soft spot for ‘Pool since you signed King Kenny from my lot in my youth, and was kinda hoping Klopp could sign off in style. Any manager will clearly have big shoes to fill, but I think he’ll also be faced with a much bigger squad revamp than many might think. Was thinking about this the other day … On THIS season’s form, how many get into a City/Arsenal/‘Pool best XI? I was struggling to name one.

I think if we are honest it will be Alison
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Normally I’d agree, but he’s missed a fair chunk of games, which maybe edges it for Ederson this campaign (altho he’s been out too)?
I’d normally also have VVD in any Prem CB pairing … this season though? Not for me.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Up until the last month or so, VVD was one of the two best CBs in the league. Even in the last month he’s been one of our better performers. Ridiculous comment.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Huge fan of VVD, but not sure it’s that ridiculous … He’s leader of defence that, this season, has coughed up huge numbers of chances for the opposition in any game I’ve watched … and certainly way more than City or Arsenal. All about opinions though.

Mac Allister with Rice would be an unreal midfield.
Trent over Benny Blanco. Robertson over whoever their lack back du jour is. Diaz over Havertz.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Mac Allister is a cracking player, but in central midfield who’s he starting ahead of from Rodri, Rice, Odegaard and Foden, for example? Aware that the last 2 can and do play wider at times.

… Oh, and KDB as well.

Which is fine, but no Arsenal player gets in there either do they.

Odegaard all day long. Rice? Saka? Saliba?
