Why is it pointless? We play one of the highest lines in Europe and last season people were complaining about the high line and VVD getting done because of it at his age. A year later VVD is back to his best (almost) and no one is talking about the high line.

Maybe we should try Matip as LWF when he returns after his ACL.

It seems that Liverpool fans are 50/50 on the matter, as like I am.

I think if he stays, he will have to stop trying to use his pace to constantly try and beat defenders like he used to, move more centrally or even on the left, he will have to see himself more as an assister than a scorer and will have to accept being benched at times.

If he were to leave, then we would have to make sure that we have a younger and more adequate replacement.

Personally I think when a new manager comes in, the less disruption to the squad the better. Continuity is crucial imo, especially as a large number of our squad are still developing or settling in. The more experience we can keep the better, certainly in Slots first season.

We don't know how much funds will ve made available for the new man. It like previous years it means 20 mill plus whatever you sell then logically it probably makes sense to sell salah if we can get a nice sum. Mainly because he is last year of his contract and is no spring chicken anymore.

Salah will only leave if he wants to go and currently he has no interest in playing in some dead dessert league. If you are worried about funds then don't be. Our owners have shown money will be there if needed. Just look at the Caicedo bid. Selling one of your best player makes no sense.

The lack of respect which has been put on Salah by some of our fans has been embarrassing. What happened to YNWA.

This is me BTW thinking with finance hat on. If we get a very good offer we must consider it for reasons states by some. If the owners however say they will give slott a nice war chest then I hace no worries of salah staying and running his contract. He has the right to do that
