Ten Hag wanted Kane but ended up with Hojlund who’s shown flashes of being decent but is far from ready to lead the line. We of course need players in many positions but we have missed a fair few chances too which a better striker will finish. Is Ivan Toney the most realistic option? Or even someone like Watkins or Ramos at PSG who was highly rated but never quite got into the side as far as I can see. Or is there some hipster choice in the 2nd division in the Latvian league who is the next best thing?

How about someone from one of the clubs that look like going down? Adebayo from Luton for instance? With deals like that could also offer a loan player from us that needs league experience.

Hojlund has missed 13 big chances and has scored 8 league goals.
Kane the player I wanted missed 12 big chances and scored 30 league goals last season.

So basically Hojlund will miss 58.5 big chances for every 30 league goals while Kane just missed 12 last season.

And still has a better goals per shots ratio than Kane. Imagine how good he will be when he's settled in and starts to reach his peak.

Hojlund actually has one of the highest XG per minute played in the PL this season.

Kane played in a team that barely creates so he kept shooting from long range which makes his goal tally look insane last season.

Son would be the player we need. 11.49XG and scored 16 goals in the league. Man Utd usually need around 22XG for 16 goals.

Hojlund XG per 90 is 0.41 this season. Kane was 0.61 but he took pens as well. Son this season is 0.39XG per 90 and scored 16 goals to Hojlund 8. Considering Spurs main goalscorer is Son, Hojlund getting higher XG per 90 than the one man team for Spurs lol.

I'm talking about his whole career, not last season. And the United team Hojlund is playing in isn't any worse then the Spurs teams Kane played in.
