"Show Hudson-Odoi outside" I hear, this is what he generally delivers when a marker does that (in a final) -

Pinpoint cross with his left. Beats you at all angles, with his decision-making and the goals contributions.

Unlucky to miss out on the elusive hat-trick yesterday + THAT save from the backup City 'keeper to put himself in a position two goals away from double figure goals.
Scored with one of their worst first-half of the season against the run of play, didn't score against City with possibly the best display of their season. Football works in mysterious mystifying ways sometimes.

Anyway, forget the goals. His influence and impact on matches, ability to create separation in the final third without goals is immeasurable. Problematic...
Ask Walker, Young, Bogle, Bradley who he's tormented and tortured.
Causing havoc and headaches to defences by whichever way and tools possibly decided to use at any given day is Cal' forte and he has tools in profusion to hurt oppositions (only requires one element to be effective, a working formula). Too many layers to his game, makes the difficult things look simple 💎

This is what a certain Pep had to say last-week...
Pep identified the threat posed by Hudson-Odoi beforehand -
Guardiola: "Always the atmosphere is unbelievable Nottingham Forest. Maybe extra in a relegation battle... But what I’m concerned is Hudson-Odoi, their strikers, weapons.

Naturally instructed his players to double / triple mark him, Hudson-Odoi (+ Aina) gave their right-side of the defence a hell of a time (how Forest didn't manage to score at least twice is beyond me).
Big-time generational player...worth every bit of his higher wages which reflects his ability, horrendously managed (no mob of dummies without a mind of their own that only seek to slander villify him will ever convince me otherwise that's for sure). Can't emphasise that enough.

I'll be manifesting the return to his childhood club.
Nothing more needs to be said.

On the subject of academy players delivering...Elated for Andreas [Danish Warrior] Christensen.
Another much-maligned academy player thriving in new role as a fully fledged midfield role (which he's been tasked to midway through the season).
You see the footballing brain stretches far when you've come through one of the best academies in the world.

Magnificent footballer -

Three goals in his last five as a midfielder. Unleashed the goal scoring 🔥 in the belly.

(Yes, Barcelona lost the league but doesn't take away from AC being immediately integral to them winning the last season at CB and close-run thing to breaking goals conceded record over the course of the season. They robbed our best CB and par excellence for €£0. Already etched in as top two in their greatest ever free transfers).

Favorites of the last decade scoring on the same day is rarity, I'll take it. Cobham

Can't see him going back. He said in interviews that London was too much of a distraction and he's finding it a lot easier to focus on his game away from there

Why don’t you just ask the OP, he’s CHO

posted 2 weeks, 6 days ago

Sorry, but these players weren't good enough. CHO was ruined by a combination of injuries and bad head coaches or playing him as a wing-back or not having faith in him. But let's not kid ourselves into believing that either CHO or Cristensen would change our current plight.

In fact, I will go a step further and say that our best left sided inverted winger/inside forward is Sterling, but our supporters NEVER get behind him, even when he plays well and the unjust criticism that he faces is too much for many a player to take. We tend to laud the very raw and extremely inconsistant Mudryk instead.

As for Cristensen, technically good but too slow and naive as a defender in the very fast and physical premier league. The big loss was Rudiger who was a beast for us.

My final observation would be to blame Clearlake, who basically let all the experienced players leave and left our manager with very few choices when it comes to team selection - althugh I cannot understand why Poch did not change Enzo and Gallagher - Gallagher's tenacity, fight and positional sense makes him a much better partner for Caicedo than Enzo, who with fewer defensive headaches may actually shine and not be passed around and leave spaces for our opponents.

No buy back clause? Crazy that we just got £5m for him. Would’ve been a solid squad option. Same with Gilmour.

Sell-on clause.
