If Celtic play at their very best and Rangers play at their very best, Celtic win.
But...Neither are playing at their very best right now and I for one am not full of the over confidence some fellow Tim's seem to be.
As usual day before, it's squeaky bum time,
Positives
We have a full compliment of first picks available.
We've an experienced team full of champions.
Maeda lives in Taverners head.
60,000 of the beautiful people with no munters on the away end.
Negatives.
It's Celtic we're talking about.
Overconfident?

Wow indeed Magnum mate, wow indeed
And if all the daft stats I've posted only prove Rangers are cloggers.....surely all 20 pen Tav proves is that the teams we play against are dirty bastirts forever halfing our players in the box
Naw?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Mmmm. Maybe. Think you’re confusing OF games with games generally though.
That Rangers have had 9 red cards against Celtic - a team arguably on more-or-less the same level - and that Rangers have have twenty penalties awarded against teams who have little else to compete apart from fight are kind of two different arguments.

Last 22 Old Firm Games at Celtic Park
9 red cards for Rangers
0 red cards for Celtic

Pointy's right. Rangers had a team full of haddies, that would foul Celtic players in the box. I'm only surprised Rangers' daft players didn't give away more stupid penalties, probably dodgy officials again.
Were Rangers a good team when they came up from the lower leagues?

Well for me, there's no arguments to be had really, certainly not around refs deciding old firm games anyway
We get pens for, we get pens against, we get red cards for, we get red cards against
As said before, main reason we are losing more old firm games than winning of late is sod all to do with VAR, poor decisions, bias, or even Tav pen.....it's the fact we are giving away the softest of goals in almost every single old firm that is killing us, and that's all on us

I'm disappointed Zico, on two counts
Firstly, 20 pen Tav is your constant shout, does not matter a jot how legitimate any or all of those penalties decisions were, the tally count is all that matters to you......so when a tally of 9 red cards given to Rangers and 0 given to Celtic is presented to you, suddenly how and why those red cards have came about becomes hugely relevant
Secondly, and more disappointingly, you've made a point about Willie Collum losing you the game, and I've gave you a stat that Rangers have been awarded 1 penalty at Celtic Park in 24 years
Guess who awarded us that penalty when big daft Broadfoot fell over Majstorovic......was oor Wullie Cullom of course...so yeah, I'm proper disappointed that you were not all over that yin

It's Willie Collum.
It's always about him. He will absolutely do something controversial tomorrow, It's a stick on.
If anyone is in any doubt about officials winning the match for a team, just rewatch the Bobby Madden Cup semi final.
If it was 100% decent, competent officials, I would predict the win for Celtic tomorrow, unfortunately I have no faith at all in our officials or VAR.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Do you actually believe that VAR or a referee will decide tomorrow’s contest?
Far too much scrutiny and anyway we should have more than enough.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Do VAR only decide the result when the decisions go against Celtic?
VAR decisions very much gone in Celtic’s favour in our results this year. And has changed results.
So could easily argue VAR has already decided the title, but it’s Zico and Celtic fans that bang on about the refs narrative.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That’s simply your opinion and nothing more. Calls on VAR that upset one fan base or the other are usually subjective but have they ever determined the final outcome of a game that you can demonstrate would have gone the other way?
The best side inevitably wins these encounters.

This is possibly true of late. However you can’t blame Celtic fans for being twitchy given the decades upon decades of systematic cheating they’ve suffered in the past. Or longer in TMQ’s case.

If VAR didn’t exist we’d have won the last game 3-2.
Can’t remember other games well enough. The VAR decisions were correct, but proves just how stupid Zico’s point is. Never mind other VAR decisions that have gone against us in our games earlier in the season.
If Celtic lose I’m sure VAR will be blamed by likes of Zico and a lot of Celtic fans, even if those decisions were correct. We’ll have obv moaned at time, but we’re not spouting a conspiracy narrative.

Rangers have been hard done by this season, they've only had a word record 20 penalties. Tavernier is a world record holder, yet the press are doing him a disservice by not celebrating his remarkable achievement.
And imagine my utter astonishment when Goldson was FINALLY penalised for a hand ball in the box. Could you explain why his other ten handballs were missed by VAR? VAR in Scotland, it's always been right on the money eh? And the officials have never put a foot wrong? Christ almighty.

Last 22 Old Firm Games at Celtic Park
9 red cards for Rangers
0 red cards for Celtic
Since 2000, Rangers have been awarded 1 penalty in the old firms at Celtic Park
Celtic have been awarded 10 at Ibrox over the same time period
Of the decisions that the Indepent Review Panel have looked at and found to be wrong, it's Rangers that have been on the wrong end of most of them
For months the narrative has been that the SFA have been keeping Collum away from Rangers games after the complaint was made by the club about the VAR penalty/offside call in the new year old firm...now the narrative is that Collum is somehow gonna win the game for Rangers
All this and there's not one bear on here peddling the line that the refs are more likely to coat us the game than anything else....so do us a favour and take yer heid oot yer erse Zico mate eh
