Toney has been pathetic since his return. Imaging getting dropped by Brentford because your attitude stinks after serving a 9 month ban and still getting picked for the Euros.

Neither striker will get many minutes anyway, so I don’t see what the fuss is. They’ve both been in and out of the squad and offer different things. Having both gives us some options that we likely won’t even use anyway.

But I definitely think having Toney in just for a pen shootout alone makes him valuable because he’s facking incredible at them.

Yeah but we’ve been in that position and he’s not done it before. I’d actually prefer it, to be honest. Set pieces and high balls often lead to goals in a knockout game, I don’t think England are above it.

Idk why people are so negative about the squad. He’s binned all his favorites and picked a squad mostly on merit over reputation which is what everyone wanted. Only strange decision for me was leaving out Branthwaite considering the other options at CB. Toney really isn’t necessary when Kane is going to play every minute.

That's huge for me. Left out a player who should probably be starting CB and cover left back for cloggers like Dunk and Gomez

Swap Dunk and Watkins for Branthwaite and Grealish and I would say he had nailed it.

In reality though - we’re probably not picking over subs at best.
