Pak V Sri Thread - Misbah lost the plot

The wicket is flat as a pancake, the temperature is souring HOT and Sri Lankas big strength is being flat track bullies so what does Misbah do? Wins the toss and elects to field .

Lanka skittled for 197

47 runs too many, but you cant have it all your way..... fantastic performance from pakistan. Need to build a solid lead now.

I think cricinfo have been reading your article kash

"That's stumps. What a day for Pakistan. Everybody asked if Misbah had lost it when he chose to field on this flat track, but tat the end day you can't really argue against his team. They were disciplined, cutting away any free runs, the Sri Lankans were extra cautious. In the afternoon Pakistan turned it up a notch, and Junaid and Cheema sliced the heart of their batting in that middle session under the unforgiving sun. Junaid has a maiden five-for to his name. Pakistan have a wonderful chance of batting Sri Lanka out"

Butt's efforts to curb player's power is bearing fruits.Though he committed hundreds of blunders during his reign, still he is responsible for elimination of player's power. In a lot of games in 90's and 2000-2010 , players did nt put their 100 % simply because of personal animosity but I think thanks to Butt,Pakistan cricket will no be plagued with this for atleast the next 2-3 years.

Very good day for Pak it seems. After the knew jerk reaction to the toss I have been proved wrong. There saying the wicket is likely to get better so let's hope Pak press on the advantage and get a big lead.
