Jonathon Thurston has been charged with a grade two misconduct which means he will receive a two match ban.
His only chance of playing for Queensland on Wed week is if he fights the charge and gets off or reduces the charge to a grade one and only misses the one match against Penrith this week.
The misconduct charge is for running into the back of the ref and flattening him. On watching the replay I feel Thurston could of prevented the collision and if it had of been different circumstances and it was a defender he would of side stepped him with ease.
Now all we are hearing north of the border is.....typical NSW rubbing our players out.
Personally I hope he gets off, he is great to watch and I don't want those cane-toads having amunition if we do happen to win.....
Besides I think the judicary will melt under the pressure from the Toads anyway..
Cheers.

I think its highly unlikely they will ban him.... I think NSW will win either way.

Thurston was found not guilty. he said he didn't see the referee until impact was made.
Imagine just how good Thurston would be if he ran with his eyes open.
