Well, if Huthcinson is in our squad, we have now defenders. 5 full backs (Bertrand, Ferreira, Hutchinson, Bosingwa, Cole), a hybrid (Ivanovic), and 3 centre backs (Luiz, Terry, Alex).

Now for the City match, Luiz is suspended and Alex is shunned.
Plus Bosingwa may still be injured.

That leaves us with Ferreira, Ivanovic, Terry, Cole, Bertrand, and Hutchinson. I doubt Hutchinson will play this early.

And Bertrand may be regarded as too inexperienced for the City match.

So that leaves us with Cole, Ivanovic, Terry and Ferreira.

You guys haven't been fair on Torres, I doubt he's even played 120 mins together with Mata and Meireles this season.

Putting him on when the games over and expecting him to do something is unreasonable.

Juniour, I agree. Seems they've been judging him on his late game appearances. We obviously shut up shop by putting on Mikel and yet 'Torres wasn't good enough'.

With his one touch in the game. To be honest, he looked misplaced because he wanted to do something so was trying when nobody wanted to go forward.

Look, im happy with anybody playing well. Drogba did great most of the game yesterday and I was happy. He should've come off at the half though and Torres should've had a shot. Bringing him on so late when taking off Ramirés and Mata for Mikel and Malouda took the wind out of the otherwise great victory. I felt it was a useless time wasting tactic to bring on Torres that late on. We had no motivation to attack so he wasn't going to get any chances unless he created them for himself. Which he tried with the one time he had the ball at his feet. With the ball being passed around between midfield and backline I want you guys to tell me exactly why he didn't play well last night since you all have come to the conclusion that yesterday finally convinced you he'll never be good enough.

Torres deserves better

I don't thinks he's been playing well just to be clear. I just think hyou guys give up on a player too quickly. Kinda like gazza did Ramirés. Not trying to point you out like a jerk gazza. But like Boas just said, our players, not only Torres, deserve better.
