That pitiful effort v AJ last night....who in recent times has not impressed at all himself - but that was brutal, against THE most pathetic defence i've seen in a long time...MMA...should be MFA

Tell me you don’t understand mma without telling me you don’t understand mma

mma vortex anyone?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I have no idea what that means... But anyone coming into a boxing ring without a basic defence strategy gets exactly what they deserve
Also a recognized expert on boxing was on talksport yesterday afternoon and reckoned AJ would get out muscled...
I thought Ngannou would knock him out. AJ not exactly renowned for stamina or chin.

Who knows hif he'd come with any sort of defence plan he might have picked him off after three or four rounds... No boxer is lasting long being as open as he was... Joshua found him easily three times in six minutes straight in his face - you aren't getting up from that
Vardy still banging them in for Leicester.... Just saying
I fancied Ngannou to get a stoppage if he connected properly as he has ridiculous power. If being the operative word though. This is boxing and you're not meant to make it easy to get hit. AJ showed the big skill gap last night between an expert boxer and a novice boxer.
Yep very impressed by AJ again, not so much by the demolition but by his whole attitude - new trainer seems to have really clicked with him. 18 months ago AJ looked completely washed up, if we continue to see this laser focused AJ he can go on and win belts, will be interesting to see if he can keep this up.
Chelsea’s footballing department are doing work on potential midfielders. Chelsea have long been admirers of Barcelona midfielder Frenkie De Jong and PSG’s Vitinha. Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes is also a player Chelsea are impressed with. (via @GraemeBailey)
Chelsea’s contract talks with Conor Gallagher have reportedly ‘completely stalled’ following the club’s recent financial update. The club’s financial issues mean they cannot meet the player’s demands. (via @caughtoffside)
Nico Williams’ representatives have now made it clear to all interested parties, including Arsenal, Aston Villa, Chelsea, Liverpool and West Ham, about the Athletic Bilbao talent’s ‘readiness to leave’ San Mames this summer. (via @GraemeBailey)

Then how are we going to be able to afford Osimhen, or Nico Williams, or any player.
Yeah we can’t give Gallagher a new contract but we can spend another £300m on players lol.
To be fair, it’s not the initial cost of a new player. We’re likely to sell Gallagher for around £50M of which 100% is profit. If we then buy another player for even £100M - you amortize it over 5 years, so it only (!) costs £20M per year. So we would actually make £30M profit in the first year on those two deals.
The problems are:
1) next year we don’t have that £50M income from Gallagher, but we still have that £20M outgoing on the books for the new player (along with similar amounts for Caicedo, Enzo, Mudryk, Lavia etc). And
2) this does not take into account salary - which is what Chelsea are trying to lower. If they can’t afford Gallagher’s salary demands, what are the chances Osimhen’s or Nico Williams’ demands will be any lower. We will likely only be able to sign players who have low salary demands - in other words more young, unproven players.

It just begs the question what the actual fvck was Fury doing.
F1 is so dead
Put Verstappen at the back of the grid every race, he’ll stil win but least it’ll be a bit more exciting for half the race

Arsenal with another tap in from a cross. And yet we seem allergic to crossing the ball. So refreshing to see. How many crossed goals they score is crazy

Went on the arsenal thread earlier and they was all slagging him off. But goes to show, his best attribute is heading. So how about crossing it?! Crazy how simple football is
Meant to reply. Feels like we cross often. Or at least did early season. But nobody ever got on the end or if they did it was fluffed. We still cross now but it’s rare it reaches one of our players.
