Agent was pretty clear he doesn't want to leave Arsenal but was desperate for playing time. Southgate only chose him for the England squad based on his performances as full back. So why would he want to leave if he is a starter?

Bit of a contradiction here as he did leave to get playing time.

Arteta will view him as a player who didn’t have the right attitude to fight for his place (rightly or wrongly) and won’t take him back because of it.

The reality is Arteta ostracised him and forced him out of the club though

He didn’t actually say we were a banter club but he could call when the banter was coming.

He was all like typical Arsenal usually concede before HT from stupid mistakes when dominating and he knew they would score from the free kick. Then he kept going on about us getting caught on the break from a defensive error and that’s what happened. And when we went 3-2 up and Darke was on about Arsenal in the next round Sidwell was like the game isn’t over yet and Arsenal fans know we will give Benfica another chance. Think it was the 89th minute when he said that. Then there was that moment where time froze for that Benfica chance and you could almost hear him sinking back into his chair

I always forget sidwell is a goober. He's probably scarred from 2010 onwards aswell.
