Communism has killed a lot of people.

Im all for a socialism that works. But it needs to be properly implemented and made sure that certain people do not take the P.

People wrongly call the Scandi countries socialist or democratic socialist despite the fact they are still based on the free market. I also think the Scandis are a good model, they are not socialism though. They are center-right.

7% of Swedish citizens live abroad and their favourite places to go are the US and UK. Just an interesting fact.

Some ludicrous misinformation on this thread,

Scandinavian countries ARE socialist, socialism is based on a free market on everything but essential services, further to that it's the only true free market model, the free market meaning no financial intervention or competition from government. This is left of center.

Communism is far left, Venezuela is not socialist its communist, communism has failed everywhere in the world it has been tried, and then abandoned, communism is the neoliberalism of the left, no free market, but services and manufacture are government owned not privately owned.

We are a neoliberalist economy, neoliberalism parades itself as the free market model but is anything but.. All services are Publicised, but not to the free market model, companies are given monopolies (trains) that are often state funded (rails, stations, carriages, all taxpayer money) and underwritten by the government (east coast rail) in case of financial failure (even if paying dividends in the meantime) also applies to energy (state pays for power stations, infrastructure, meters)

That is not the free market, a free market society doesn't have a corporate welfare bill of +£90bn a year! Neoliberalism as practiced by all our PMs since thatcher is presided over by the rich, for the rich. (see Jeremy hunt, constantly selling off private Healthcare shares to stay below the £50k declaration threshold, or Theresa mays husband's £1.5bn in offshore accounts, which in the EU parliament she vetod legislation to prevent these accounts being used to avoid taxes)

Its also worth noting that neoliberalism has failed society in all countries its implemented, with a widening gap between rich and poor, and every country practicing neoliberalism has had to take on debt to keep itself functioning

Neoliberalism and communism don't fail because they are poor economic principles, in theory they work however the human psyche, in particular greed always get in the way, stopping the money cycles.

That doesn't happen in socialism, because the government cycles the cash.

As for stretty, he shouldn't be here, now he's had an economics lesson you can remove him, we can stop puerile arguing (except about the taste of prawns, and how lame avocado's are) and perhaps get back to guessing who klopps wants to sign!!

Anybody reliable?

His agent registered for some NK8 company yesterday and Keita's name is all over the paperwork. Guy is supposedly VVD and Mane's agent and he did the same thing for them.

@JamesPearceEcho
Still no agreement between RB Leipzig and #LFC over Naby Keita potentially moving to Anfield this month. In fact told there's been "no progression at all" following initial discussions.

Quashed immediately by Pearce, ffs

posted on 12/1/18

Nah that company thing is nonsense.

We know Keita is coming.

The Mane one was only set up last month, and the VVD one was set up in May 17.

Keita one being set up yesterday doesn’t mean he’s coming this month, it just means he is coming, which we already know.
