Chelsea are apparently completely FFP compliant even with their expenditure. I saw that Simon Jordan chairman explaining it. It's all to do with how they manipulate their accounts.

Basically, why the fvck don't we do the same?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Simon hasn't seen their accounts and therefore has no idea. He just loves to be contrary and feel superior, feeling like he's making everybody else feel stupid. An absolute weapon of a man.

Hope he gets well even if he is an аsshole.

Chelsea should be banned again tbh. They are taking the p*ss now. People won’t stand for this and get bored pretty quickly.

I don't need to. If somebody looked at their accounts and then gave an explanation, then I'd listen. He often gets things wrong and when it's put to him he tries to worm his way out of it.

The guy nearly bankrupted Palace when he owned them
Why didn't he use this fancy accounting he spoke of then?

Even Arsenal are bending FFP rules. Unable to buy Raya so have agreed a loan deal with Brentford and will buy him after some sales. Very smart.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well that's not bending rules then is it? There are no rules which say you can't loan a player for a season and then buy him to bend.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well actually you can't buy him to bend, I'm sure there is a rule somewhere about that.

Buy him at the end*
----------------------------------------------------------------------
A 30m plus keeper who they can't pay for in full due to FFP restrictions so in the mean time they will just pay the loan fee and get the player and when they sell players like Balogen, Holding etc they can pay Brentford in full or have the option to pay the transfer fee in the next window. He is basically there player and will be made perm when possible.

Like I said very clever strategy. Very proactive approach where the team comes first and then the books.

Looks like City will be going into the market with news De Bruyne is probably out for four months.

So they loaned a player with an agreement to buy him at the end of the loan? Yeah really smart. Why didn't other clubs think of that?

David Raya deal will be permanent as soon as possible — FFP reasons made it initial loan for £3m plus £2m option 🇪🇸

You might not think its smart but its allowing Arteta to get the players he wants, even backup keepers

Raya all day for me, quality keeper.

Ramsdale made loads of blunders backend of the season and now they have someone who can step in and even become number 1.

Yep I was surprised to see him against Arsenal, looked out of shape and off the pace of the game.

Would need to be a world record fee for us to even consider it.

I'd take Diogo Costa as his replacement though!

posted on 15/8/23

I wouldn't be worried about him leaving but the fact Firmino and Fabinho have both gone over there makes me think he'd be tempted

Ali is priceless. A proper big club would turn that down and I expect us to do same.

This though funnily enough Raya would have been my chosen replacement.
