Sheriff is absolutely spot on. Rosicky is good. But he's more of a bench player.
And though Ramsey is taking the mickey with his ill disciplined runs forward. His work rate, drive and athleticism is vital to Arsenal's midfield.

Would be interesting to know what the stats say about ground covered by Ramsey v Rosicky. That the Czech also has a high work rate is a fact often overlooked.

Bottom line is Wenger knows when to play Rosicky. Obviously we can't rely on him and so its hard to put him in our best XI but whenever he plays he is a joy to behold.

Agree that Ramsey should start ahead of him in big games.

Rosicky belongs on the bench. That's how it is. That's how it will be.

If some people on here had their way we'd have about 2 players.

Sell them.

My only reservation towards the choice of such midfield composition would be their height. We would literally have a midfield of midgets.

I mean the choice of starting Coq, Cazorla and Rosicky together.

Every time I have seen Rosicky of late he goes missing...(not baseless)

which is why Wenger doesn't use him...& i've said it before...he's lightweight

The occasional glimpse of technical skill only..a very poor man's Modric...

Agree with the OP's suggestions.

this.

Not because I don't rate Ramsey or even Ozil for that matter, but simply because anyone can see that Santi and Rosicky are at the top of their games at the moment and so form players play, simple as that!

My reservations as well, until I saw how well the combination acquainted themselves against Stoke. Watch the match again, easily our best midfield performance of the season so far, not to downplay the performance at city.

Rosicky's lack of height probably adds to his overall lightweight-edness as a player

Good point Dux. Wasn't able to watch the Stoke game due to other commitments, but props for pointing that out.

Ozil cost you £42m, he shouldn't be back up to Cazorla I I'm honest. He has got to be starting. Even Rasey, was top quality for a half a season before, deserves another chance in the team.

Price tag should not come before form in the choice of starting lineup. Ozil has just returned from a lengthy layoff, and was quite rightly (although a bit too excessively) criticised for poor form, whereas Caz is on a great run of form.
Ozil, much as I appreciate him, should not expect to automatically dislodge Caz and go straight back into starting 11 in these conditions. we are fortunate to be in a position where we can ease him back in the team and make him compete for his place.

I suppose so but that's a lot of money to pay for someone who hasn't really found any sort of form since joining Arsenal and although had a lengthy lay off, can't get himself back in the first team. I think it could be a bit of poor business there by Wenger.
