The only rule I can come up with unfortunately is:
If you play a wrong ball:
• in match play you lose the hole
• in stroke play you incur a two-stroke penalty and must correct the mistake by playing the correct ball (Rule 15-3).
Nothing specific for playing the wrong ball after marking.
O'Reilly was so indispensable to the bureau's operations that President Franklin Delano Roosevelt postponed her retirement, scheduled for 1935, to 1938.
