Sebastian Vettel - Temperament

This is something I picked up on ages ago.

During his Red Bull days, everyone was waxing lyrical about how Vettel is this amazing driver whose always in control and never loses his cool and is absolutely the greatest driver of his generation.

The thing that's always bugged me about this is that it's only true when Vettel is in a car that's 2 seconds a lap faster than everyone else's.

When he actually has to fight for a position on track, he chucks his toys out of the pram.

And unfortunately, Vettel's not the only one. Hamilton is just as guilty at times, and I'm worried that Verstappen will end up going the same way if he ends up winning a championship in the next few years.

Of all the issues I have with modern F1, this attitude from some drivers is the most worrying for me.

Sorry, I do not agree with this at all. The only person who has displayed similar behaviour to Seb when things do not go his way is Alonso.

Hamilton and Verstappen are racers and are more than happy to race people. I have never seen them use their cars as weapons or do anything near what I have seen Seb do. The only person I can think of who did similar stuff was Senna.

Even Schumacher would be like, dude, that's not on.

Yeah I'm happy to hold my hands up and say I'm wrong here. It's Hamilton's fans that are the issue here.

It winds me up that they're so quick to give all the credit to Hamilton when he does well and then put all the blame on the team when he doesn't do well.

That is why I don't like him, when he isn't having an easy race he often loses it and does something daft/throws a tantrum. He only seems to operate well when he has a open track. He knows how to drive a car fast, but I don't rate him too highly as a racer (if that makes sense).
But I think he's done well this season just to be in the mix, before the Singapore mess I even thought he'd win the championship. I'd say he's better now than when he was dominating with RB. Merc and Hamilton are still too good.

It's not. It's just me offering up an explanation for my earlier screwup.
