Ridiculous getting a UFC fighter in all this

Honestly Francis Vs AJ is probably a better fighter than Francis Vs Fury, feel Ngannau would have a chance Vs AJ

5 years ago, I would have sided with Joshua over one punch Wilder

Now....Wilder will knock him spark out

If Hearn was actually AJ’s friend he wouldn’t let him fight Wilder

He wouldn't have a chance against any of them. There's a reason Warren refers to it as an event rather than a fight.

Well, a lot would agree… but Wilder is a crap boxer technically. So this version of AJ will be looking to slowly break him, wait for his moment I reckon.

But Wilder does have heart, maybe a bigger one than AJ so…. You can just see Wilder landing one on him, and it’s Goodnight .

AJ’s last two fights he’s been heavily fortunate Franklin & Helenius both didn’t throw much, and even when they did they either hurt him or bloodied his mouth or eye

They’re two guys that are nowhere near the elite and lack power, Helenius is 43 ffs

Wilder would absolutely destroy him and it would literally be a matter of how long AJ can survive, I don’t even see how it goes past 4 or 5

He shouldn’t fight him, and anyone that cares about him wouldn’t let him fight Wilder because he will seriously get hurt

Based on what I just watched......I would disagree, AJ is so flat footed and 1 dimensional these day, jab jab swing the right and pray. If that doesn't work reset or hug

As I said I thought maybe the Franklin fight was AJ blowing cobwebs off after a couple losses, first fight under a new trainer trying new things

But No, absolute tripe again, gun shy, lacking confidence and “boxes” yet still leaves himself open so much and is stiff as anything

I wouldn't be surprised at either outcome. Wilder only needs one punch, but he hasn't fought enough big punchers who aren't out of shape and in their 40's. Nothing to say Joshua can't hurt Wilder first.

Wilder has built a career out of being crap technically but timing one very good punch in fights....and he's also got a better chin than AJ does, he's been in real trouble in some fights but found that punch and saved himself

Given how static AJ is, it won't be a question of if Wilder lands, more a question of when...and when he does, it's over

Yeah, but you could also say the same thing about wilder to be fair.
He hasn't fought anyone with big knockout power, maybe Luiz Ortiz but Wilder fought him when he was 40 odd.
Wilder has 40+ wins, don't even know 90% of them. Absolute nobodies. Aye he gave Fury a tough time, but you have to remember Wilder is now 37 and will be 38 by the time AJ fights him. Older, slower. Its not really out of the realms of possibility that AJ could win.

A lot of assumption going on here. A better chin than Joshua? Haven't they been down the same number of times? And Joshua has fought harder and more experienced punchers than Wilder has.

Joshua definitely has a chance against Wilder. He's technically the better boxer, but this performance (and his last) shows he's mentally right. He stunk the place out tonight against a fighter tailor made to be sparked out by the third round

posted on 13/8/23

It was nice to see Joshua hit a robust knockout punch, but his overall performance was pretty poor - failing to make combinations, very flat footed in attack, and quite tentative generally.

I hope the knockout punch enlivens his sense of enthusiasm for the sport - because I still think Wilder clocks him on this evidence.

I imagine we will see Joshua dancing around the ring vs Wilder, being up on the scorecards, before being chinned probably after 4-8 rounds.

But who knows, maybe the old AJ is still in there somewhere.

He has no chance.

Literally AJ’s flaws and weaknesses are Wilder’s best assets

Wilder’s flaws and weaknesses AJ doesn’t have the assets to exploit them

There’s just no way anymore if there ever was that AJ can beat Wilder, to beat Wilder you need to push him back rough him up hit him, not try sit behind a guard and jab him which AJ will do AND if you are going to sit behind a guard and jab Wilder you need to have a strong chin and quick legs and head movement to avoid Wilder landing, which again AJ does not have any of that

Whereas to beat fragile AJ just pressure him and pounce on him, which is exactly what Wilder does best

Back in the day when AJ was a confident hungry killer he might have had a good chance against Wilder, but come on, this mentally broken AJ? Absolutely no chance, nothing to do with who’s best who or who you think might have a slightly better chin

And like I said, and Guv also said, i actually fear for AJ. Nothing to gain, doesn’t need the money, what does he get if he wins a fight vs Usyk or Fury? Won’t beat either of those. Has nothing to gain everything to lose, and the way he is with his pride he’d get badly hurt

So yeh not for me thanks, love boxing but a one sided battering that could result in AJ getting hurt? No thanks don’t even want to see it happen now tbh from a human aspect
