The best cartoon, and the best superhero doesn't even exist in the DC/Marvel universes..
He's just a guy, being a hero for fun
----------------------------------------------------------------------
One Punch Man.
Great anime but I'd still prefer to watch some of the DC animated material over it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Decided to rewatch it now they have confirmed season 3
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's a fun watch but the humour and lack of stakes prevent it from being a truly special anime.

A bit too lite, in terms of anime, for me if you know what I mean
I rather watch Disney & Pixar if I'm looking for something like that

Very good series indeed.
TopGun crossed 1.4 Billion yesterday. And is now going after Black Panthers domestic haul and passing Infinity War. And is now just 97 Million short of taking down Fast and Furious.
What a bloody disgrace that film made so much…
Doubt Top Gun will do that, as tomorrow it’s out for streaming.
1.4 Billion, all without China and Russia box-office.
Amazing.
My sons been watching the Marvel/DC films throughout his summer hols and we've just seen Endgame.
The end of it made me wonder why there hasn't been a big clamour for a Steve and Peggy what happened next movie. Maybe there has and I'm unaware of it, either way it seems like the obvious way to go?
Even by Marvel standards it would be a monster box office hit and as a I regard First Avenger as one of the best MCU films I'd like to see another movie set in the 40's.
Chris Evans left the MCU.

Does anybody ever really leave Marvel/DC?
I'm sure if the money was right he could be coaxed back.
After Doc Strange2 and Thor4 if I was Marvel I'd be doing all I could to get Evans back.
It was the ending of his story in the MCU though. He's passed the mantle of cap and now has his happy ending with Peggy. I wouldn't want to see more of that, it's a good ending as it is.

But I still maintain that another CA movie set in the 40's would be a great thing for Marvel to do.

Yeah, I was underwhelmed but it's a good movie overall.
Reasons why they won't make a Cap movie in the 40s:
1. The characters arc has been completed.
2. Cap passed the mantle onto Sam.
3. Chris Evans is done with the character.
4. The MCU is setting up for future phases and new movies are focusing on this set up.
5. Caps origin movie was set in the 40s, so it's not something the fans are demanding to see again.
6. Cap and Iron Man were the heads of phase 1-3, so it wouldn't be right if one carried on and the other did not.
7. Disney don't have an unlimited budget. They have to invest in movies/characters that keep people coming back.
8. There is an overarching narrative that Feige has and Cap isn't part of it.
9. The ending of Caps story was perfect happy ending. We don't need to see anymore. More isn't always better.

This is why the MCU have succeeded and the DCEU have not. Feige plans for the long term and sets out the path to that long term goal. DCEU tried to cash in on the popularity of their big characters and failed to actually apply logic or cohesiveness to the story.
