This has been Arsenal's most successful period in their last 15 years, and they want him gone!

Oh its terrible Flashy, I am welling up just thinking about how he has been treated.

All that leaving Arsenal will do is make him slightly less of a caant in my eyes, only slightly mind

Spurs fans wanted Graham and Ramos sacked the season after they won their only trophies in the modern era.

Disgraceful the way they have hounded out their greatest ever manager.

When they are sacking the likes of Enrique and putting Bould in caretaker charge til they find someone else, they'll pine for they days when Wenger had them in the CL year on year. They'll certainly pine for the days of the Invincibles or their double winning sides under Wenger. They seem to think that now Wenger has announced his departure, certain glory is only a step away. They are deluded.

Not only that, I've read them belittling his achievements even from his prime years. Apparently he couldn't assemble a defence despite building the Invincibles from scratch - by all accounts Toure, Lauren, Campbell et al were all down to Dein.

They are the worst fans of any football club in Britain. I have no sympathy for them, I wish only bad things upon their club.

We were in the relegation zone when Ramos left

Am I right in thinking that Arsenal going out tonight means there is now no possibility of finishing 4th and not qualifying for the cl?

I honestly don’t think it needs explainin. You know as well as I do that everything you posted is a load of bs. Apart from people belittling his achievements from the past, there are some stupid people that do do that

I think we can all agree that we wish them better luck next year.

If Chelsea lose all their games and Arsenal net 8 more goals than them in the next 3 games, then yes they could make 5th - so highly unlikely!

However they still have to fight to maintain 6th from Burnley nipping at their heels - so I guess they still have that to fight for

Even if Arsenal had won tonight and gone on to win the EL & Liverpool had won the CL, we would still qualify as long as we finished in the top 4.

The rule only kicks in if both Arsenal & Liverpool had finished outside of the top 4

Cheers, what I getting at is if Liverpool finish 5th and win the cl is 4th safe now that Arsenal are out?

The answer seems to be yes, unlike 2012.

He's not our "greatest ever manager". Chapman was better. I'd argue his record isn't even better than George Graham's.

Ace

He wasn’t hounded out at all. Of course there were some people who may have overstepped the mark but that’s the case everywhere

It’s ironic that this is the season he has stepped down because arsenal fans gave up on him ever deciding to call it a day

Your 2nd paragraph is just opinion based on what may or may not happen. Most arsenal fans know we have a long rebuilding process ahead of us. But it’s better to gamble on someone who may or may not be the right man then stick with someone that we all know is not the right man

Arsenal fans have a right to be excited because of the first time in a decade we don’t actually know how our season is going to go, whether it be good or bad

ChapmanYou do realise a pre match meal was a pie and a pint of stout in his day, and players wore hobnail boots. His Arsenal team used to win matches by grabbing a pigs bladder and getting to the nearest church steeple with it quicker than the other blokes from the pub. Wenger is an Arsenal legend, I can't work out if it's sad or ironic that Arsenal fans hate that fact.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Not sure anyone is disputing he's an Arsenal legend. Saying he is our greatest ever manager is highly disputable by evident facts. Who gives a sheite what the pre-match meals were in previous eras. George Best drowned himself in alcohol and I'd still say he's the greatest player to come out of Britain.

Arsenals greatest ever manager was Herbert Chapman, an ex Spurs player, who took a club who had never ever won a trophy, to multiple trophies in the 1930s.
