So the score to beat is 113 I think we should open with a couple of our bowlers

Maksi the WI are missing seven of their best players so a mauling was guaranteed before they arrived in England.
I just hope England change the batting order so Buttler gets a knock.

Yes hopeforl, turn up with a weak team against us and you may lose by ten wickets several times. Pathetic effort by them again, and like you, I hope we play around with the batting line up a little. Let's enjoy the show buddy. We are after all the World Champions at this

Its been the same for ages though.

- Australia are a mere shadow of the past.

- Thrashing Pakistan doesn't count because their a shambles.

- Sri Lanka are no big deal when overseas.

- India were always overrated.

- Windies have players out

blah blah blah

The ABE's are literally running out of teams. If England beat RSA, Australia 90's style domination has arrived.

I love listening to Hussain when Bopara is fielding a ball, bowling or batting. He reminds me of that sargeant in 'It Ain't half Hot Mum" who kept saying "ooh lovely boy"

Good start by our boys and this is gonna be all over before it started

The 2 openers have gone hopefor, and now you will get your wish as these new boys show us how to play cricket

England have a no more than ok limited overs team. Probably better in 20 over than 50. We're not so used to winning limited overs that we can afford to mock the opposition.

Maybe the WI bowlers can remind us not to be too blase. Like the press who were implying that England could just give everyone a game in this series.

These are the same people who gave the players a good kicking in the WC.

Bishoo looks like a good feed wouldn't do him any harm.

Crikey, this guy stokes can bat, and is just hitting four after four here. hopefor, now you have the batsmen in that you wanted. Good match this, but wickets don't count in this slog about type cricket, and that Windies score is just too abysmal to defend.

Crikey we nearly got one fifth of their score in that one over. Who on earth is this fella Stokes? Some hitting that and Bairstow is also out there. Gonna be fireworks now

lol We bat long hopefor and because of the lack of overs, wickets is never going to alter the cause of a game. We just have to keep on chucking the bat? 6 an over is over the run rate and one of these boys will give it some hammer to the end. Good game this mind

Regardless of the result here, credit to windies for putting up a fight. Something We haven't seen this summer....

Afridi, and fair comment mate. Good to finally see some back bone against us. Our batsmen have been softened up by the rubbish India have been pie chucking at us, and now are struggling against some proper bowlers lol

..... India and lanka should take note.... Good that some of the English youngsters will be challenged here.... Good experience

Buttler and Bresnan are not bad players?

posted on 25/9/11

That catch was it out. He certainly caught the ball and although when he fell forward the ball was in his hand, it also was in contact with the ground.
Atherton was talking about this a few weeks ago.

Tell you what, another wicket here and it really will be close..... what you reckon maksi...... 60/40 england??

I would agree with those odds Afridi. Wickets don't usually matter with so few overs, but we are running out of the ruddy things. I am guessing Buttler might have the firepower to stear us home but it's a cracking match now.

Agreed.... best game this summer i reckon in terms of how close it is.. May even have to bite a few nails in the last couple of overs

lol I started biting mine when Bres went. Good over by England and lets hope this lad Borthwick can hang around for a couple of overs.
