Ozil planning to sit and rot

If you are given such a huge contract then why would you move for less money?

Clubs fault for offering such a big contract,if you where in his shoes then why would you leave?

posted on 31/7/20

Because he's 31, already has many millions in the bank and needs to move to actually play football.

posted on 31/7/20

If you actually care about playing football and your footballing reputation then yes, you move, I would.

and what if you don't care about football and you are in it for the money?

Not only that, you realise that you are fairly healthy at 31 years of age and you don't want to be playing week in week out for less money and be more likely to get a serious injury in doing so.

Twilight of your career why accect less money for more risk???

posted on 31/7/20

hes just lazy and happy with making money.. Most footballers wish to play football. he doesn't care at all. that's the mindset.

posted on 31/7/20

I can't blame him. It was our fault as a club and, in particular, our part as fans who made selling him politically impossible. We were so desperate to show that we were a big club that he's now a barrier to becoming one.

posted on 31/7/20

Ozil to get a serious injury, you have be involved in a tackle of some sort for that to happen, highly unlikly in his case.

Shows you what type of person he is,why play week in week out for less money when you can be sat at home doing fook all and earning a kings ransom.

Who in their right mind would do anything different in this circumstance

Perhaps Ozil dosent like football anymore, and instead of retiring wants to bank as much as he can for doing nowt.

I’m sure if many of you had jobs you hate, and were in a similar situation maybe you’d choose the dishonorable thing too!?

I'm sure all of us in his situation will take the money option. It's not as though he's a die hard Arsenal fan,he's a bloke that's been offered way above the wage he should be getting and has decided that's good enough to stay.

Who else given his circumstances would move home for less money and more work???

I agree it's the clubs fault, offering him that contract was a huge mistake and he's entitled to see it out. The PR spin that he comes out with is what makes him a though, sly little comments to turn the fanbase against each other and the club. He did the same thing when he quit Germany saying it's because he's Turkish.

Do the same job for less money and more work and be willing to move home

I guess it just comes down to personalities and its hard for us to really know what its like play professional sport but especially in football a players career is short and at the moment Ozil is just sitting there and his career is just fading into obsecurity. I personally just don't understand that attitude. He's already setup for life so there shouldn't be any money concerns. Your a longtime retired Mesut go and play football while you still can.

And why would they chose to potentially move home to work harder for less money.

Answer that honestly then I'd try and take your point of view.At the moment he has to do minimal work for one of the highest pay packets in world football.

working harder doesn't really apply here, most players enjoy playing and want to play as much as possible, there's players who would and have taken pay cuts to play more. It depends on the attitude of the player.

You are assuming he loves playing football.I look at his time at Arsenal and assume he has no love of the game and is only in it for the money.

If I am right he will see his contract out, tell me what you think he will do?
