Nah I am fairly secure in my life, don't need to blame others for my issues or have a sense that people are out to get me.

The flu virus kills people every year. I believe covid is a mutation on normal flu. Like any other recent mutations it's led to it's own pandemic death toll.
There's never been a one size fits all vaccine for flu and likely never will. Find it strange anyone really expects this now.

I completely agree that the virus is a completely unknown killer and left unchecked would undoubtedly result in many thousands of deaths.
However. We have a good understanding of who is vulnerable and that’s those who have underlying health issues and the elderly. Now I may be wrong here but those people should be protecting themselves against any disease or anything else that threatens their life and manage the risk. We should as a country help them manage that risk.
What we agree doing now though is trying to protect the whole country and take no risk.
As for experts, don’t make me laugh. We started on this oath due to a clown who broke his own rules and predicted 500,000 deaths on a worst case scenario. Why are we trying to manage against worst case scenarios? They very rarely if at all become reality. And that’s my point. There’s no structured plan. No track and trace even now although those countries that do have some form of it now see cases rise to earlier levels.
Death rates and hospitalisations are down and continue to fall.
The way we are acting and being forced to live our lives cannot continue though and the rules for what they are, are farcical. Strange now that universities are about to go back in two weeks there is a growing demand to keep the students at home. Union pressures eh?
We are killing the country when it’s time to at least start easing restrictions further. And yes, that involves risk.

Absolutely.
He seems to like conflict, each to their own I suppose.
Ginger, I agree, the country/world is going to be fecked if this isn't sorted soon, and by sorted I mean everyday life going back close to 'normal'. By all means take precations but get on with living, working and being happy.
The effect this must be having on mental health is worrying.
The effects have even been felt yet. People are in for a shock when they lose thier jobs and cant find anything. Then we will regret this lockdown nonsense. The snp and the Tories will be out of power for decades due to these extreme measures.
