I might be tempted to drop Wij and play Milner but that depends on Hendo returning. There is no news on Hendo which normally means he is very doubtful for this game.
If Henderson isn't available then I'll definitely start Jones. He was our form midfielder before Thiago came back.
He's definitely been having a better season than Wijnaldum.
Jones frustrates me a little at times. He dwells on the ball too much and lacks that killer pass which the front 3 need.
I prefer Milner because he actually gets in the box. He missed a good chance against United and then minutes later was involved in the 2nd goal.
I’d go with OP team and if hendo isn’t available which I suspect might be the case then I would prob Also go with Jones for hendo .
As always I am confident as we are due a win soon as playing better than our results would suggest
Yeah I'd go with the team in the OP if Henderson is back.

It depends on tactics that Klopps gives those 2 midfielders though. If he tells them to break beyond the forward line then we'll get performances like Atalanta away, Arsenal, Wolves, Leicester etc.
If he tells them to hold tight in midfield we'll get the West Brom, Fulham, Southampton games.

Spurs will deploy a low block whether we like it or not. All the midfielders need to see the ball and deliver the ball and this is something Jones cannot do. Spurs will be more than happy for him to run into a blind alley or lay it off to Robbo.
Low block ie the technical term for park the bus
I would go for the old tried and trusted go to midfield of milner hendo and wij.
Hasn't Henderson been dropped?? Saw something about that online earlier, bad performances etc.
I will be really surprised is Spurs park the bus for 90mins. Maybe after a 1-0 lead they retreat but no ways they park the bus for 90mins.
Maybe if the game was at Anfield.

You clearly have not seen us play. Don't blame you.
It doesn't matter if it is Liverpool or Fulham, Spurs will setup a low block. Unlike Burnley they have world class players who can hit us on the break so will always be dangerous.
Op's team if hendo is fit. If not id put shaq in midfield. We know how spurs will play. We know we are going to have loads of the ball. Lets play a guy who has the ability to see and more importantly make a pass in tight spaces.
If I had to choose my midfield would probably be
Henderson
Wijnaldum Thiago
but Klopp seems to be hitting the pipe too frequently this season.
The only reason I'm not selecting Jones is because we'll need Wijnaldum's defensive work. Not that Jones hasn't performed well in that role this season either, just Wijnaldum has earned more trust over his longer spells in the team.
Think the game has 1-1 written all over it. Can see Liverpool having 70% possession. Expect Liverpool to take the lead and have a hatful of chances but Spurs to equalize in the second half when they are forced to open up. Will be interesting to see how Firminho plays (traditionally does well against us) a visit to “doctor Tottenham might be just what he needs ?? The midfield battle between NDombele and Thiago will be very interesting...... both incredibly talented. Expect PEH, Sissoko, Gigi & Henderson to battle it out and it will probably come down to whoever’s forwards are more clinical

Good analysis - agree
2 will have to sit for us. If Henderson is unfit then wijnaludum need to SIT. this mans actually cover the full backs.
thankfully milner can't play 2 a week so we won't get treated to him playing left or right wing as a midfielder (irrespective of how well he did going forward v utd he left the back door wide open at the back)
thiago and someone to sit and someone to play in front of that and get about the park and press up. thiago hasn't the fitness to go chase about.
jones can do it but he needs to show way more when he gets on the ball. he is playing too safe now and needs to show what he can do positively.
Ox can't do it as he rarely actually shows up i nthe games.
shaqiri hsn't the discipline nor the fitness
its either
henderson thiago
wijnaldum
or
Wijanludm thiago
jones
for me.
On 60 mins thiago must come off imo, put on shaqiri then.
Like I said...Spurs always helps us in the most pivotal moments. When we're down on our knees we can always count on them. We love you Spurs
