Looks seriously impressive, the footage from around 1:35 for the next minute or so is mind blowing transitions from one dimension to another, great use of the PS5s power and a good look at the potential to come.

This is very true. The design of the PS5 focused very much on the developer and giving them not just the obvious increase in GPU and CPU power. But a whole new avenue of potential with not just a ultra fast SSD, but also opening up new development opportunities by coupling it to an extremely fast IO

The design of the PS5 is a huge leap over the PS4, the balance between GPU and CPU is a huge bonus. But to me the biggest ace up Sony's sleeve and most exciting is the IO throughput. What we have seen so far is just scraping the surface of what is possible.

After a while of trying and being let down badly by one retailer I finally picked up my PS5 today .

It came bundled with R&C and while the series has never interested me the reviews have been outstanding so no harm in giving it a go and my lad will definitely like it.

Tbh the bundle cost wise was probably a bit overpriced at £520 and didn't get anything other than the game but in reality it only cost me £20 as used £500 from my topcashback account.

Nice one. Let us know what you think of the game (and the console) once you’re up and running.

I have been watching some playthroughs of Ratchet and Clank. It really is an impressive game.

The graphics, and the amount of stuff happening is almost too much to take in. Enemies, particles, explosions, weapons fire with no slowdown, makes for one hell of a gaming feast.

The almost instant load times also make it seemless and even more movie like. The guy I watched playing it gave it an 11 out of 10. It's fair to say he enjoyed it a lot.

Had zero time to myself last night so will have a go after work today.

I'm also looking forward to getting the free update to RE8 from the PS4 version to the PS5, hopefully my son brings it round at the weekend.

Might treat him to Spiderman Miles Morales as heard that looks stunning and we both liked the PS4 Spiderman game.

Not to derail the thread but any other must haves as of yet?

Have to say I just bought this because of the graphics - wow stunning. Never played a r&c game before and I’m impressed but it’s the visuals that blow you away

Any updates from the two of you that have been playing it?

I've just got the platinum trophy on this, great game. Even towards the end I was still amazed at the graphics and detail, and speed of the new dimensions opening up.

The fact you could open a portal to a new dimension, go in, or just up to the opening and see that whole new world moving, creatures in it, wind blowing, or objects moving in space etc, then walk back and turn round to see the dimension you're still in also running at full capacity.

Platinum trophy was pretty easy too for any of the trophy hunters out there (I'm not usually one myself).

To be honest the PS5 is a god send for trophy hunters because of the loading times getting from level to level etc.
