Leeds vs City

Tasty clash this, Lubo going with the 4-2-3-1 up against a rigid 3-5-2 employed by fan.

I feel (as do others) that the best way to hurt a 3 man defence, is to play high and wide, isolate the back line and punish them... I'm just not sure Foden as good as he is the man to operte in those spaces and get in behind.. Chiesa in a way isn't really a wingers winger either, but I concede the point that the two of them would keep City's WB's occupied. Kane for me, even with Depay there just feels a little too isolated at times.
I do generally like the balance of Lubo's side though but feel that City hold the cards in key areas.

City have started to improve and Fan employs a decent 352, very good back line now that Rudiger has found his form. Kante and Niguez are a match for Jorgy/SMS and Bernardo is a baller of the highest quality. The front-two have the pace and power to hurt most teams.

Slots are slightly in Leeds favour, obvs boosted by home adv

Fruity: H/A/A

Leeds 1-2 City
Kane (Chiesa)
Werner (Lukaku) Lukaku (Werner)

MOTM - Kante, won the battle to control the middle

Chelsea vs. Liverpool

Chelsea have some great balance and quality in this side, I really like it. One weakness would be Wan Bissaka for me, I’m not a huge fan, but I suppose he helps with the balance – Pope also not the best ball playing keeper – but this is me trying to find faults.

Tino’s Liverpool had some good ideas and a very unique game plan and setup. That said, this is a massively tall order away from home and against the huge amount of quality Chelsea have.

Chelsea 1-0 Liverpool
Mbappe (Mahrez)

Wolves vs. Leicester

Tino went for a hard pressing style, but not sure that quite works with the likes of Busquets, Soucek, Insigne, Ronaldo, not known for their pressing football for me. Saying that, it’s a good side. The front three are up there with the best in this league. I think Konate and possibly Soucek could do with improving on, I prefer Veratti deeper too.

Leicester have good technicians throughout and a nimble front three that I felt would cause problems. There’s no real weakpoint in that XI and felt there’s a good blend of qualities.

Leicester are the inform team in the league, but Wolves have home advantage. I felt Wolves subs didn’t offer a huge amount, whereas Leicester had a lot from the bench.

Red card spins: W/L/L – Leicester red, Goretzka! minute 50!

This of course impacts the game, and helps Wolves rebalance the slots more. This could go either way now.

Match result slots: D/L/L – Tino will feel unlucky given the red card, the random picker liked Leicester today, but Leicester's superior quality, balance and subs perhaps saw them deserve that bit of fortune in the slots.

Wolves 2-3 Leicester
Ronaldo (no assist), Mane (Busquets)
Lautaro (Neymar), Bruno (no assist), Marquinhos (Neymar)
Red card: Goretzka
