This, another nervy game could have gone either way and pens are a lottery really. Nice to see Hendo first one consoling Mount at the end over celebrating. Top player really rate him, hope he doesnt dwell on it can happen to anyone.

Chelsea have a hard as nails defence and it’s not as if it’s a bus parking exercise they break well and are well capable of bossing a game in midfield.
To be honest though, both Liverpool and Chelsea miss too many chances.
Pretty much what worries me with City signing Haaland….
Hopefully we won't play Chelsea again in a cup anytime soon. Sick of playing them.

Have not been this disappointed in Tuchel before. Even if Werner needs 34 chances before one accidentally trickles in off his lower back your defense was looking leggy and it was the perfect opportunity.
Bringing in a clueless cheek and then Barkley who had 15 secs of game time for us this season instead had me fuming.

Would have caused us problems but he was born offside so i reckon most would have been ruled out, thats if he could beat alisson in a 1v1. Dno what happened to his finishing, used to bang them in for Leipzig didnt he?

Neither are defensive midfielders
Also we aren’t exactly going to change the formation we’ve used all season.
First 15 chelsea were there to be cleaned out.
We.missed 3 that all could be goals and 1 absolutely had to go.
Jorginho flopped about and bought time for the heads to get on it and push up a bit and get James on Diaz.
From then on it was fairly even for the half.
Chelsea then had 15 at the start of second half that they should have won it 100%
Fairly even then and both sides shattered
In the end one side was timewasting from the first 5 mins to the end so losing on pens might be a smidge of karma. Bit harsh but mendy was taking the absolute p
