One of the coolest tracks in the season. Coming back into the stadium must be a kick for the drivers.

Not so much Hamilton, more his car.

Mercedes had big issues with purposing at the beginning of the season and some issues with warming up the tires quick enough. Although they have made big steps to improve the car, it is just short from competing with RB and Ferrari but the last few races they have been in the mix for sure.

Also Hamiltons car was used for improvement trials by Mercedes during races, and they let Russells car untouched until an improvement was found. So Hamilton finished behind Russell a few times as well for that reason.

Don’t forget there’s ANOTHER Pirelli Tyre test in FP2!

I love F1 but it's been a pretty stale season, Verstappen win never in any danger.

Even with the improvements Mercedes have made they are miles off. Hamilton with nearly 10 seconds with about 10 laps to go last week and Verstappen not even troubled.

Difficult to see them bridging the gap next season.

Annoying that Ferrari have facked up so many times. Would it have been more competitive had they been competent in their in game strategy? Hopefully Hamilton can come back with a competitive car next year.

Think Verstappen would have come out on top still, but probably not with 4 races to spare.

I am sure they will be, with Ferrari being strategic clowns and RB having limited wind tunnel time next year, I think it will be a battle between 4-6 drivers next years. Russells is pretty much in the mix if the car was better. Sainz is incident prone and Perez is not consistent enough.

can anyone explain what a wind tunnel penalty is in leymans term.

I’m guessing RB have been hit with one?

They’ll have even less time to use the wind tunnel meaning they’ll have less data to use for the aero/drag on the car.
It’s quite a set back, but isn’t if the original extra expenditure has built a car head and shoulders above everyone else

They test the cars in wind tunnels before the season at a below full speed and can use the data from that to get an idea how it will perform at full speed, the winner from last season getting less time in the tunnel, down to the last place constructor getting the most time.

In theory to make it more competitive.

Red Bull will now have even less than they would have but the impact will be very minimal imo.

Went to a Mexican GP once. The drugs I got for my ailment were grade a. Didn’t cure it, but I was flying.

They had less time anyway as the top teams get less than the lower teams. They have enough savy and nouse to get around that for sure.
