It is surprising how many of these programs you forget about, and how many there have been especially when you add in the Private Investigators like Callan and Magnum, Enforcers (Edward Woodward), casual investigators (Rose and Thyme) and the plethora of conventional policing programs going back to the likes of Z-Cars, Dixon of Dock Green and Dragnet. It makes you think that most people like to see the bad boys get theri come-uppance.
