No. Car broke down yesterday, no mechanics open on Sat or Sun here, and more generally I think it's going to be hard a garage that's open in Seville in mid-August. I can't get out until the car is seen to, and there are no open ferry tickets until 16th Sept. Air travel is complicated too, as my dog's to big to travel in the passenger cabin and only two companies here allow animals to travel in the hold. None of those two fly direct to Tenerife from Seville, so it would mean a stopover somewhere else with a minimum and maximum allowed gap between the flights. All pretty surreal.

Inland Spain and large parts of the Med I agree, but the Atlantic coasts are fantastic.

Cádiz is grate unless you get easterlies, but prevailing winds are westerlies off the Atlantic. Likewise on the northern Atlantic seaboard. Temps are normally mid-20s with occasional peaks if there's a southerly. In Galicia it was actually raining - well, light, cool drizzle - when I left last Friday. It's quite normal to have cloudy or overcast days up there. Even the northern sides of the Canary Islands, which is just off the African Sahara coast, are generally very mild. Where I live, it only climbs above 30ºC if there's a southerly or south-easterly, but again, the prevailing winds are the northeasterly trade wids, so summer temps are generally mid-20s.
