I’m excited, but refuse to get carried away. He’s what, 21? Scores about 20 career goals.

However having a proper striker should improve us by default.

I'd definitely start him this weekend. It's the kind of fixture that gets players excited and strange things can happen.

Not only that but starting Martial is basically just a white flag and surrender at this point

i suppose an unknown quantity could be a wildcard. If he's fit then why not. I think it'll probably be Martial though or even Rashford if we want an extra body in midfield.

Hes very fast. If he can drag away defenders with his size and pace, he would be more than enough. Let's also try and not train him to stop making striker runs.

He'll do well. At worst, a poor man's Haaland.

I dunno, I'd play him for 45 minutes. I can't help feeling he's going to turn out a great for us. With our pace around him, and what's beginning to look a decent midfield, I think happy days are round the corner.

Unlike Process to wait until he's watched a player before reaching a verdict.

I am looking forwards to seeing him play. Firstly to see him as a player, but also to see how his presence can impact on the team as a whole. Hopefully he can bring the best out of our other players and give our attacking play more cohesion.

If we weren’t so desperate and his fee wasn’t so ridiculously high I doubt people would be expecting him to come in and lead the line for such a big club based on his career to date. But that’s where we are and it’s more hope than a genuine view that he’ll perform well because he really hasn’t yet shown he can be what we need right now. The lad needs time, supposedly his finishing is still very raw but hopefully we can at least make chances for him. I think fans need to be realistic and understand he’s a kid who’s scoring record isn’t anything special and only a year ago was playing in the Austrian league. Hopefully there’s potential there and in an ideal situation we would ease him in, but we can’t do we have to hope he handles the pressure that will come his way.

Ideally he would have come in to play as back up to an established striker and eased in but for some reason we’ve entrusted the starting spot to him so hopefully he’s a prodigy who shows his potential quicker than others of his age. If he struggles I’d hope we bring in Toney in Jan.
