The only allowed to drink with a substantial meal thing better not be the future. They pushed it during covid for everyone and now trying with football fans. Nonsense proposal.

Another nonsense transport proposal passed today too, bringing in a 30mph speed limit on M8 motorway through city centre. Most of the time you can’t go faster than that anyway. But nonsense to restrict in quiet times.

Constant new rules from all parties to make everyone more miserable.

The daft "football buses" ideas aside the speed limit idea is based on considerable evidence

Drive in Europe and you will see the speed limits out in the countryside on motorways go from 100km/h to no limit. However, around built up areas, approaching slip roads and cities the speed is reduced to around 50km/h

It makes sense to be honest, as majority of crashes and incidents happen around slip road areas for cars changing lanes to go on or off the motorway.

the argument was that people become slaves to instructions and don't think, so by removing the signs people had to be more alert.

accidents dropped considerably, that said it was a small town and not a big city.

i can imagine the "danger, cliff" sign was missed.

I love the warning of falling rocks sign. What does it expect me to do differently?

i would imagine it's to make you watch carefully for rocks on the road.

but all that sign does is make me look at the cliffs as if an indiana jones boulder is going to come for me.
