A honkin jobby

I have to agree. When BR was appointed by DD last summer I was a bit ambivalent but prepared, as I am for all new manager appointments, to give him 6 months before judging him. I’m sad to say that he has made almost all of our players worse and our performances and results have been poor. I hope I am wrong but zi cannot see him turning things round.

If at this moment in time if I was asked what I would compare Celtic to in terms of the general atmosphere around the place - a honkin jobby would be an apt comparison.

A get all of the criticism of Rodgers but there's more to this and we were dire at the end of last season under Ange.
Last decent performance was in April against Killie at Rugby Park. 4 up at HT iirc but never kicked a ball in the second half and hardly after that.

Maybe half a dozen good performances since then. Cup final was hoaching.

It's not just a BR thing.

The board won't sack him cos it'll cost too much

Wrongh, loadsamoney, remember?

The board won't sack him cos it will show they were wrong. Rather gamble and wait it out in the hope something miraculous happens.

The fact the Squad have only had a post mortem AFTER the Killie draw and relinquishing top spot confirms the complete lack of self awareness.

The rally cry should been at lunchtime on Saturday when Goal Difference was still a factor. Let’s take no prisoners, score a handful and see how Rangers respond. Not, let’s try and try and hang on to 1-0 and Hope Rangers lose.

I said before, Brendan sets his team out as if we are 3-0 up. The only glimmer of hope is that Clement is clearly not a good loser. He hasn’t felt any real pressure yet. A couple of bad results and he could easily implode. #strawclutching 😉

But remember it was the lack of the GB that was the reaosn our performances were flat.

Utter nonsense as we all knew. I called it in December that even a few wins would not mean our style under Rodgers would suddenly be exciting.and we would not turn it around. A few of us were clear when he returned that we were very meh about his return as we knew it would be dire to watch.

I understand what Magnum said about latter part of last season under Ange but I'd put that down to the league being over as a compettion so easily.

Right now there are some long and short term things that need to happen at Celtic. Neither of which I expect to happen btw

1st thing is remove Rodgers. It has not worked, Hatate and CCV returning will not make our negative turgid football suddenly breathtaking. A new manager who gives the players freedom to play gives us a chance of not throwing the title away. Under Rodgers I see not turnaround. I'd even give it to John Kennedy. he is highly thoought of and so long as it is a return to football more aking to Ange I'd give it to him, what do we have to lose?

2nd thing is the board need to be replaced by the summer. Either new major shareholder and CEO or a buy out from the likes of the City Group.

Paddy and I have sat together at Celtic Park for years and he would probably struggle to remember me leaving early at any game prior to this season yet this season I have been gone by 90 mins more often than not. I used to accept the traffic as I knew we'd be in it until the very end. Now I am just desperate to get out of there and get home instead of sitting in traffic in a bad mood.

It's still a close race. Rangers are marginally better atm.

I'm happy to make my predictions and stand by them.

Unlike the majority of Rangers fans who cower in a corner, won't back their team to win and come out from under cover occasionally to have a wee snipe like that.

It's amazing the Rangers fans on here that suddenly have the time to post but haven't for over 2 years.

Very coincidental

This is true

Yesterday's backline finished as
Ralston Welsh scales Bernabei

This hasn't been addressed at the club at all ,

If rangers lose Barasic they have yilmaz
Tav , sterling

They have actual cover for players should they pick up injuries and its during the injury times that clubs like ours can be picked off

Our best XI should beat everyone in the league, but we don't have that just now and the stand ins aren't anywhere the standard required

Add to that Maeda ...ffs ...love his energy but his ability is as per the title of this thread ...yet he still gets played every week!
What's justifying the starting berth ?

Matt Oriley is brutal just now , misses so many chances and isn't grabbing any game and dictating it
Yet he still starts ...

Alot wrong just now at the club but as you say it's been like this for too long , the window I which we hoped to fix some of our issues we got Khun and Idah
Really ?
Paid a fair chunk for Nawroski and he can't get in the team , same for Lagerbielke
Bernardo has been the only surprise of our transfer window

And why no iwata and go to a 4-4-2 ?? I don't get the team were trying to be right now...and that is on Rodgers

Agree Iwata should be in the team as it would allow McGregor to play further forward and give us more control. Bernardo doesn't do nearly enough for me and is living off one goal against Rangers. That chance he missed on Saturday was criminal.

The guy played Turnbull ahead of Hatate to start the season. Alarm bells/ Lost in LC to Kilmarnock. What was that definition of insanity? Keep doing the same thing hoping for different results. This guy is no elite manager.
Possession means nothing if you produce nothing with the ball.

I am stunned Beale has been sacked. The very same Beale that the Rangers posters on this artcile were tekking us was the brains behind Gerrard. The same Beale who made a better start to life at Rangers than Clement. The guy who was bringing Beale ball. The guy who chased Ange out the door.

Nah can't be the same guy who got sacked twice in 4 months

To go in and do a worse job than Tony Mowbray in your first season at the club is some going.

Anyway enough about Rodgers. Poor Mick Beale, its always nice to see the David Brent types get shown up.

I see Michael Beale had his burner account discovered on Twitter.

Because he was defending....Michael Beale

What a fooking embarrassment, he deleted the whole account when the connection was made.

Player_ID for anyone interested.
