I don't think it's that silly if you are comparing goals scored between one player and another. Penalties are pretty much gimmes. If one player has scored a lot more of them in their tally of goals compared to another, it should be taken into consideration.

That said, Palmer has still had an excellent season.

Other people commented on the fact half his goals have been penalties, I just added some context.

I'm glad the Golden Boot has become a thing at this stage of the season.

I don't know much about this Palmer kid but he scored a cracker against us in the Shield.

That said, it feels like a lot of his goals are penalties tbh.

People will remember the hype around Nicholas Pepe, when he was high in the scoring charts in France, but a lot his goals were penalties as well, and it didn't work out for him in the end.

And Pepe was incredibly talented, more so than Palmer.
