Sabitzer wasn't the profile we needed and would have been expensive. Amrabat was the right profile, but just hasn't been good enough (which I guess is what you should expect when going for a cheap loan move when top class DMs are being sold for £100m).
Fernandes is the reason. You can't play Bruno and Sabitzer in midfield with just one of Casemiro/Mainoo. And he probably didn't want to be a squad player when he's good enough to start for other big clubs.
I liked Sabitzer. He showed he had something but the whole set up for him to prosper.
I think Sabitzer played in a double pivot with Can last night. I think with our budget and what we were after in a CM he just wasn’t the right fit. Is he even doing that well for them this season, they’re currently 5th in the league.
Do we get CL medals if Sancho and Sabitzer win it? We basically made their team. We need credit.
He wasn't very good and spent a lot of time injured.
Lots of that lazer sharp hindsight this week!
I don't remember many people screaming for him to be signed when he was actually in a red shirt.
