Not read the comments but to answer the Q…

No, he’s not THAT good. Just relatively good.

Similar to an Alan Shearer or Mario Gomez. Lots of goals but no special effects.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
if Shearer and Gomez scored twice as much as they actually did then you may have a point
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Fair enough - can’t argue with the goal tally
----------------------------------------------------------------------
he is a similar in style to those players you mention just a far better version of them. a bigger, stronger, quicker version of them both.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Bit early to be placing him above shearer, the PLs top goal scorer
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Im not comparing their careers Im comparing their abilities. And imo Haaland is a bigger, faster and stronger version of Shearer.

Shearer was an out and out goalscorer, he wasnt an individual player, he was deadly in the box.. All those are equal to the attributes Haaland has but the numbers dont lie and currently he is outscoring Shearer by 2:1 and thats before he hits his peak.

Only injuries or moving leagues will prevent him outdoing Shearers career in the EPL.

Both great players, no doubt... But i'm not sure it's a cert that he will/would beat Shearer's record.

Would be 20 odd PL goals for the next ten years. That takes some doing to stay so consistent.

Haaland hasnt scored less than 20 goals a season since he was 18

he wont beat Shearers record though, He will move club before then, I fully expect Haaland to play for Real Madrid

Doesn't change my point... Getting 20+ a season for another ten years requires amazing consistency for both him and the team/s he plays for. That is 20+ goals until he is 34 years old.

He's capable of it, for sure... But it's not close to a given.

This isn't to take anything away from Halaand, but to highlight how amazing Shearer's record is.

Shearer scored about another 20 goals in the top flight that don’t count towards his record too
