I think a really good no.6 DM would make a huge difference.

Let Bissouma and Bents fight it out for the 8 spot. I wouldn’t mind Bissouma being sold if anyone enquired though: 10 good games in two seasons isn’t enough IMO.

Couldn’t stand Conte’s football but he was right on a lot of things: Bissouma’s defensive positioning/ tactical nouse being one.

Openda should be out number one striker target, can't believe he isn't being talked about more. 22 goals for Leipzig in the Bundesliga in his first season there. Quick, great finisher, good in the air, one of those rare strikers that seems to enjoy few touches in a match but the touches he does have are the most meaningful. Plus he's only 24. Check out his goals against Man City in the CL this season - literally the perfect striker for Ange.

Leipzig are a selling club - Werner (Chelsea), Nkunku, Szoboszlai, Gvardiol, Keita, Upamecano, Konate, Cunha, the list goes on. Only a matter of time before a bigger club than us snaps Openda up if we don't make a move. Genuinely astonished that there isn't more noise around him.

you had record revenue, exceeding £500M for the first time in the 2022/23 season.. (£549.6M), and yet still posted a loss after taxes of £86.8M.
you're not getting any extra revenue for european games this season, so can probably expect revenue to drop below £500M.
i don't know if you're wages bill's dropped by much.
you're also reportedly already seeking outside investment into the club.
will losses of £232M over the last 3 years (although depreciation of £72M for the stadium are exempt from psr rules), the sale of kane for £100M in this years accounts gives you some room on spending limits..
but i wouldn't expect your club to do much in the way of player purchases this summer unless you sell a lot of players first, and/or manage to get paid well over the odds for some of them.

I doubt we sign a number 10, even assuming Lo Celso goes

Think the hope will be to move Deki inside
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why do you think the hope will be that? Decent attacking mids are fairly easy to come by. Finding a winger like Deki would cost 60m or more
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think Deki has much more of a future in midfield for us than he does out wide

I don't think this is accurate at all. Expert opinion seems to be that Spurs are one of the healthiest clubs in the Prem in a financial sense. We potentially have a bucketload to spend if you take into account financial flexibility over a 3 year period. We won't, of course. That's now how Levy operates and it's frankly why we're in the healthy position we're in.

We've not overspent at all so I can only assume your numbers are wrong.

Our Wage bill will have dropped abit. Kane, Perisic, Lloris, Dier, Moura all left. Kane, Perisic and Lloris were top earners.

With the Kane money and factoring in the loss of European football we might even post a higher revenue than we did in 22/23 for 23/24.

Kane - £82m. Loss of European football - £55m ish.

Our wage bill should be lower so our operating profit should remain around £120m-£130m but this is just rough estimates.

Our net spend will probably go down as you say this summer. We defo need to sell pretty much all of our loanees and trim the current squad to help us this summer but there should still be a healthy net spend of £110m.

Much of Kane money was spent on Johnson and Dragusin in January I suspect.

Be interesting to see if Levy has anyone lined up for investment. The naming rights for the stadium is still an option to boost revenue by at least £25m a season. Levy wants £30m.

You can see from the PL PSR/FFP situation of late that it is imperative that spending is kept quite stable.

If we go large this year making a huge loss, we only have to make up for it in the following years, which is not always easy especially if you don't have too many valuable assets to sell (and want to sell). Other wise you end up like Chelsea and others having to sell players you'd rather keep if you are not as successful as planned.

I believe what Spurs are doing by seeking new investment will be to increase our equity base, through paying down some of the debt. This then takes some of those costs off the books which gives us more headroom to spend. If, coupled with increasing revenues, these are long term gains, and not one off player sales revenues, which means we can increase spending without risking sudden loss of those revenues. The opposite is true for UCL money. No point going large with transfers as UCL revenues are not guaranteed season on season, you may not make it next season and its £50-£100m potentially that you miss out on, but need.

In this day and age, its very difficult to go chase the promised land without doing it progressively, sustainably building your revenues/ reducing costs and this all takes time.

Basically the way that Levy operates and has run Spurs is now the way everyone has to operate. It's like he wrote the rules himself

The Kane money and the increased Stadium revenue this season will be a nice buffer to our loss of Euro revenue.

As long as we can get ether Europa or UCL money in next season, which is looking pretty likely, then this season will have been a bit of a blip and in future we can expect to be more around these levels of revenues (£550m).

With stadium revenue streams now reaching their max, i think the focus will go to reducing debt and developing the land around the ground to reduce costs and bring in new revenues. Sponsorship also always in the background but suspect that might be something that happens in years to come, maybe at the time of a full take over.

Happy with Richarlison, we won't spend enough to get a better CF than him. Was fantastic before he got injured, people to seem to have forgotten that with him out.

We definitely need another CF… to give competition to Richarlison… someone mentioned good things about Openda…

Son is not a CF… hopeless with his back to goal

There’s a lot of work to do… in the summer transfer window… incoming & out going!

Club record signing last summer. The paid €43m for him only last July. Can't see them wanting to cash in so soon.

#thfc are considering signing Luton Town centre-back Gabriel Osho as a free agent this summer. Tosin Adarabioyo and Lloyd Kelly are alternative free agent options. [Give Me Sport]

Anyone know anything about him?
