We did win the Youth Cup ourselves a few years ago with Garnacho being the standout player

He may have got all the plaudits because he scored a couple of goals, but Mainoo was the standout player for us in my opinion.

Apparently Shae Lacey will get his first team debut before the end of the season.

If we have the fire sale expected this summer, we may well need to promote some of the reserve and youth players.

Yeah for sure. Both of them were head and shoulders the best in the team.

I went to the final against Forest and Garnacho was definitely the better player on the night though. Mainoo had some good moments but it was Garnacho who really made the difference and not just with the goals.

Yes, he is reminiscent of Foden, seems more of a direct threat from what I've seen.

He isn't ready to be a first choice player, but if he's good enough, he's old enough. I guess that's why Ten Hag wants to give him some minutes, we've little to play for.

Very true also. They didn't really miss him much in the post Christmas run either because the team is very
talented even when he's not there.

Very excited to watch him in the flesh tonight though. He's been eased back gently but had enough minutes to get a decent run out tonight I would say.

City are a quality outfit too so it's a good test to see where he's at. Still 2 years away from first team football for me from what I have seen and heard.

Will have to play Chelsea soon for the title as well. Shame we messed up against Swindon earlier in the cup, it’s a competition that still has a lot of prestige.
