I would be stunned if Utd fans openly supported Arsenal in any way? obvs my opinion only but I just cannot comprehend wanting another team to beat us despite what it could mean

Going as per and taking my Uncle who’s a big Arsenal fan.

He watched the United game last night in the pub, and was quite confident in his assertion they are going to put quite a few past us on Sunday.

I think the general OT atmosphere at the moment is just apathy, which I guess is actually worse than anger / frustration. Sigh.

As a pessimist of our title hopes, I have the fear last night was thd worst thing that could happen.
Over-confidence mixed with pressure on our side. Maybe some pride in front of your own fans on yours - also I feel big players want to impact in big games, so if Bruno is well then he certainly will be up for it. I don't really buy into the Utd players not wanting City to win the league - most couldn't care less and others will have friends in the City team.
Head says we will win comfortably, especially with Casemiro and Evans playing. Heart says City will lose and Arsenal will win. Gut and rear says if City drops points we will lose to your lot anyway.

Going to be a long week.

I always want us to win every game and Sunday will be no different.

Having said that I'll be away then and I'm not going to be making any great big effort to find a bar to watch it. Just couldn't face gloating rival fans.

All the talk has been about throwing the game to give Arsenal every chance of stopping the cheats.....

In reality we don't need to throw it. Just turn up and do what we normally do and Arsenal will take care of the rest.

It's going to be 4 or 5 on Sunday.

Yea, i don't think it would happen, maybe with the exception of some gallows humour if it gets real bad. eg, joining in with some "Ole"s

City wont drop points anyway, so it will probably just feel like a "normal" game where we expect to get beaten!

Will be a strange mix of anger, frustration, tragic comedy and a resignation of what is to come

aka matchday at old trafford

after yesterday winning our next game, no matter who its against, or any consequences that could come from it elsewhere, doesnt come into it.

We have to win it.

What I will do is go into it pretending I want us to lose. But then celebrate if we win. Just to cover all bases so I can celebrate all results so I don't have to deal with any negative emotions. I will then build up all of these negative emotions internally and then eventually have a mental breakdown and run down the street naked shouting at members of the public to beat me like teams beat United. I want to feel the pain now. Beat me with sticks. Pleeeease. I just want to feel again.

We haven't got a chance. Arsenal are a quality team and bang in form and we don't have a defence, midfield or attack.

It's going to be 4 or 5 if they don't take their foot off the gas. There's absolutely no chance we can beat them. The team, or what's left of it, has given up.

We haven’t got a chance on the weekend, hopefully there’s at least some desire shown.

What was worrying about last night was although I fully understand we have a ridiculous number of injuries, only 2 of the starters were in the first team squad before EtH joined. While we continually talk about getting out the cr-p in the squad (which there is a lot of) it’s worrying that a starting XI pretty much entirely assembled by the manager can look so disinterested.

And people are starting to wake up.

It wasn't likes of Bruno Maguire Mctominay Rashford last night was it? The so called 'bad eggs' and the people who get managers sacked.

The players he's brought into the club have been an absolute embarrassment mostly.

Sack him today. He doesn't deserve to wear the suit and walk out at Wembley again. Get an interim for a small boost going into the final. We are going to lose that game anyway.

But most have been aware of this and while the manager has been poor so too is the structure of the club that allows us to buy players the way we do.

He does deserve to manage the final as he got us there. I have no issue with sacking him (and haven’t for a while) but I’m not sure if we will when the club are still setting up things in the background.

My point is that the issues at the club run very deep and won’t change with a simple manager change and replacing a load of players. These are things that need to be done but more importantly changes above need to be made otherwise the culture at the club won’t change. While Ineos at least seem to be trying to fix this I will always be skeptics with the glazers at the club, they are and always have been the number 1 issue with the club.

I’m honestly numb to city winning trophies, I couldn’t care less.

I enjoy watching this arsenal team, but cannot stand Arteta.

All in all, I don’t really mind who wins the title and I’ll hope we win.

Me too, I honestly don't care when City win.

Nobody does because we all know it’s completely hollow.

Like I said on the match thread. They will avenge the 8-2 defeat.

Even with a fully fit defence, the way they play would make it challenging to keep a clean sheet. With the injuries and shocking tactics, I do not expect anything from the game.
