I watched last night. Not one pass reached him in the second half, the service was abysmal. No one can thrive as a striker in this team.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
he had a couple of clean cut chances for a PL striker. He fluffed them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
52 talking out of his backside again. He was the one going overboard with the lad and now writing this gibberish to save face. The lad could not do the basics of control a ball. He looked like a school boy against Saliba, it was painful to watch
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The hypobole Hojlund era was a particularly cringe time for United ja606

Obviously all eyes are on the prime positions but AWB is getting away with murder.
He stresses me out sooo much.

But he doesn’t come in for the same level of criticism.
Some of things he did yesterday were just diabolical

A number of Manchester United players remain unconvinced by Rasmus Hojlund and are reluctant to pass the ball to him.

From the MEN today

I generally stick up for AWB, but I've no idea what he was doing yesterday for Arsenal's goal

Hojlund is a kind of player we should sign when we have an established CF who may be nearing the end of his time at the club.
———
Not really. He’s he kind of player that should be left to play at a club where he can develop into something resembling a good striker.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think he'd develop if he was playing second fiddle to a decent, experienced, forward. It's unfair to ask him to be out main man IMO.

If we had a few good forwards then I wouldn't be against him going on loan.

We really are a crapshow this season. I really don't look forward to our games any more. Yet, I still watch!

I think he’ll develop from playing regular football matches. It’s usually how strikers get better, especially when they are young. The issue is that we’ve spaffed so much money on a player with fack all experience and so much improvement needed to be the standard of striker we need. It’s not his fault, it’s the club’s for making another error in judgement when it comes to recruitment.

We use this excuse to keep buying overrated players on their way out. Someone really thinks of we had Harry Kane we will have more goals? Are you watching us play?

posted 2 weeks, 5 days ago

Of course we would. You’re idiot.

Yes, if we had the best striker in the world we would have scored more goals.

Harry Kane would have been good but Arouna Kone would have more goals

posted 2 weeks, 5 days ago

Kane would have been great for United this season. And would be ideal to bring Hojland on next season. Just dont give him a daft 6 year contract at 400k a week

AWB has always been a poor defender though. His defensive awareness, passing ability, heading, standing tackles, are all mid to lower table standard. (At best).
His attacking abilities leave a lot to be desired.

I've said it dozens of times over the last few years though, there is simply nobody better than him though when it comes to 1 on 1s. Everything apart from this is bang average for a supposed PL player.

Saying that, hes been even sh!tter since playing as a left back but that isn't his fault.

Lmao. Casemiro, Zlatan, Ronaldo. It's like we have the memory of fish. This team sucks the life out of players at the end of their careers. By the time they drop into mediocre, you guys all come here and ask "why di he drop so badly".

I think Hojland needs to be cut some slack given its his first season, his age and the schiit show that utd have been this season.

Plenty of ok in this team. I think at this point we should a team of risky players now. We need so much. We should be where Chelsea is now, filled with lots young players and home trained ones and a hungry manager who can't put them together. We do not need "ok"

You laugh and yet they have gotten rid of their carcass, and are playing football we can literally only dream of. I don't know how foolish you guys get. Watch them play, then watch us play. I struggle to wonder what's in your head.

Chelsea are one of the few clubs that have made the Glazers look competent, primarily because of their awful transfer policy of piiiiissing over a billion up the wall on young players. And you actually want us to be where Chelsea are. Even Chelsea don’t want to be where Chelsea are.

They had the same problems. They actually changed their 11 completely. We are still trying to figure out to use Bruno and Rashford, Antony... And thinking it will be fine. A ounce of vision does exist in you guys.

Yeh I'd rather be where they are than where we are in terms of progress. I don't think they will win the PL or CL with Poch, but they have got a hungry young squad with potential.

posted 2 weeks ago

Massive potential but I agree, Robb, Hojlund should not be a starter next season. We need to address this issue over the summer a get a recognised, experienced CF.
