Pep said: we have to win the next 9 games otherwise "ciao ciao".
Arsenal fans: "YES, WELL DONE ARSENAL" after parking the bus for a 0-0 draw.

Different gravy.

For the last time:

My comment was based on my opinion that if Arteta and *some* of your fan base had had a more positive angle into the Etihad game, you *might* be ahead in the league and yesterday's game wouldn't really have mattered in the end. At the time, you were the league's top scorers, and still the best defence. Yes, you *might* have lost, but we will never know. It's just my opinion.

There were some comments about Liverpool at the Etihad. At least they tried. Same with us at Anfield. At least we tried.

Again, I have no beef with Arsenal nor any of its fans. If you win it on Sunday, then you deserve it.

You being so attached to my opinion suggests that you see some weight to what I said.

Arsenal played almost the perfect game at the Etihad. Stopped City having chances and creating match winning chances. The only thing that we didn't get right was finishing.

posted 3 weeks, 5 days ago

We were cr4p djeezus. You lot didn't have the gonads to go for it though. As I said at the time, I would have been gutted if City had gone away from home with that mentality given the wider context.

If Jesus had tapped in that sitter would the narrative be the same?

posted 3 weeks, 5 days ago

Wasn’t it Trossard through on goal with what would have been a clear scoring opportunity late in the game, if not for an awful first touch.

Regardless of what you think of the game plan, it almost came off to perfection if not for that touch.

posted 3 weeks, 5 days ago

Was referencing when the ball was squared and Jesus went the wrong way, missing the ball completely.

posted 3 weeks, 5 days ago

But, yeah, more than one chance to win the game in a close to perfect tactical performance.

posted 3 weeks, 5 days ago

Great win for City, and well deserved. Defeating a "pumped up" Spurs in their own playpen was not an easy task. Following Son's terrible screw-up, as noted by announcers, City showed what a great team does, they controlled the ball for a good 2-3 mins. with their standard "back and forth passing" and took Spurs, and their raving crowd, out of the game. They followed this up with the ultimate sucker-punch by winning a penalty on a breakaway play!

Spurs and their ex-Celtic manager still have a lot to learn!

Time wasting at 0-0 isn't a mentality of champions

posted 3 weeks, 5 days ago

grated,
When you try to debate this guy you are wasting your time. He doesn't understand a team that uses ball control as a key game tactic and NOT "time wasting".

Furthermore, City took the air out of Spurs with their excellent "BALL CONTROL" late in the game as they have done often this season!

btw: "BALL CONTROL" was a late game TACTIC and
not "time wasting" when City was ahead 1-0, and
has worked quite well for City lately. Their
excellent use of this TACTIC late in the game
completely took the air out of Spurs. and
their crowd.
And then is was 2-0!

Arteta please take note!

As grated said so succinctly above:

"Time wasting at 0-0 isn't a mentality of champions".

Neither was what transpired in the run up of the Spurs City game, Arsenal fans selling their souls for Tottenham with their "North London United" BS. Have at least a modicum of respect for yourselves. Cringeworthy.

No one is guaranteed a win even if they tried. We lost games, but we tried (as did the rest of the PL except you at the Etihad). But there's zero excuse for parking the bus and then shamelessly cheerleading for your rivals, then blame Son for "not trying" on his 1v1. How ironic.

My message is only that you lot need to change your mentality to a win at all times one. I don't know why that's so difficult for some of you.

To answer your question "What would u have said if we come there gun ho and got slapped???". I would have said bravo you tried. However, the question you should be asking is "What would have mancWoohoo said if we went there, tried, and grabbed all 3 points". That's the issue with Arsenal FC today.

Was that what he was trying to do? wum me?

Wum me by asking why I was still crying about the 0-0 when we are currently top 2 points ahead with destiny of the League in our hands? When, if they had a champion's mentality, tried, and won, they would potentially be one point ahead and it would be in Arsenal's hands?

What a sh*t wum.

Won with a freak goal at the Emirates, parked the bus at the Emirates

In the end it was the highlight of your season
