Arsenal’s Mentality

posted 2 weeks, 3 days ago

Postecoglou's post match press conference certainly raised a lot of questions about fragile foundations in and out of the club, after arguing with Spurs fans mid match.

Feel for the Arsenal players, but they're up against a genuine cheating machine.

The Spurs fans have let their manager and players down again. Such a weak, cowardly bunch of whiny mugs, they would rather lose and miss CL football than take a bit of banter from Arsenal fans in the summer!!

It's the kind of mentality that makes them run to Admin, and get posters banned from their board for ribbing them about last seasons epic collapse!!

Think the OP is still drunk from celebrating City's win last night.

Arsenal fans couldn’t wait to tell us we won them the title, now it’s not happened they can’t handle it and are lashing out. Of course we’re going to rub it in.

Ultimately the last laugh will be on Tottenham. We all know in this world that social media is king and it won't have escaped the players eyes this mad obsession to lose from the fans. I wouldn't be surprised if some of them are looking at this and thinking what am I doing at this club. There is no real ambition for success from the board level and from the supporter base(not all but it seems a fair portion). This is before you even try to approach future players they are gonna take one look at this and think I would be wasting my career going there. This is not even a wind up if you take a minute to think about it all it does is just show Tottenham are not a serious club.

And if the roles were ever reversed. There would be a fair portion of arsenal fans saying they'd prefer to lose.

And don't pretend otherwise.

It's definitely on the manager's mind judging by his comments, and with Bayern and Barca still looking for new managers, I'd be worried if I was a spurs fan

Didn't Conte & Jose say the same thing about them

That's a hyperthetical argument, right now in the real world with everyone watching Tottenham look like the loser club and you even really argue the point.

Yes but players aren't stupid, they'll know that if the roles were reversed many would have the same mindset. Don't underestimate how tribal football fans are.

If the game was a complete dead rubber for spurs then you can kind of understand and say they were on the beach.

However, the reality is, if they had somehow beaten City, Emery would have 100% bottled it v palace to give spurs CL football

It's not thou is it, as I've seen videos of arsenal fans saying if it meant spurs lost the CL final, they'd happily take losing the europa league final.

wtf nobody expected Spurs to get anything from last night. The only positive was they didn’t massively build on their GD as expected

Your manager having arguments with fans in the stadium and probably a fair portion of the crowd wanting you to lose that's a different level.

Bats said this the other day.

There was an article about it on the Arsenal board in the week in 2019 when both games were being played.
