Good that we can attract these sought after kids but it’ll be interesting to see how he does against grown men. He clearly has a physical advantage in the youth set up and you see it quite often when they then struggle to physically out muscle bigger opponents.

Having watched the youtube clip, he does appear to have more about him than just his physical presence. Looks like a decent dribbler and had a nice touch. Some of his finishes are quite deft as well. Time will tell I guess. Apparently he opted for United because we have provided him with a clear pathway to the first team, so perhaps we will see him relatively soon.

This lad scored 32 goals in 20 games in the u18s at the age of 16.

Apparently we will play him in the U18s and the U21s as availability allows. Arsenal refusing to play him in the U21s was a major factor for him.

Elvis, yeah I saw that. Say what you like about how badly run United are, we’ve always provided pathways and opportunities to youth players to the first team. And even if they aren’t going to make the first team, we tend to prioritise what is best for their future prospects of playing football and will actually extend contracts, and take lower transfer fees, to give them some control over the choice for their next clubs.

I hope that this doesn’t change and we start treating the academy as purely a financial endeavour, like City and Chelsea do.

Yep our youth set up has been very productive recently, shame one of them turned out to be a cuuuunt.
