De Gea at it again

Here's how fans on social media reacted to his start to life in Fiorentina.

One said: "De Gea dives right way but as usual he let’s the ball go under him. Could’ve easily came out and claimed the ball in the air too prior to the play that led to Fiorentina conceding the penalty. Gave away the ball twice with his distribution in 1st five touches. No pressure on him."

A second wrote: "Are we trolling De Gea for not saving a penalty? I know he didn't have a good record, but this is a pretty accurate effort, no?"

A third added: "Jesus wept, De Gea plays for the first time in over a year and the haters are already out. Concedes a penalty and a well taken shot and he's hammered. Ridiculous, leave the bloke alone."

It would be interesting to see if he is dropped back again.

Hafi at it again

He was a fantastic player for us but it was the right call to move him on even if the jury is still very much out on his replacement.

Very naive to even suggest it was only the " ...last 5 years".

He wasn't just wasn't ever equipped to be a gk at the level MUFC should aspire to - indeed he wasn't really equipped to deal with that role for ANY EPL team.

A 12 year travesty, and at the root of the clubs problems for that entire time

Not often I agree with you as you are nearly as daft as Hafi, but I do in this case.

Kudos for taking that with the humour it was meant.

In fairness to VC he talks sense although he doesn't like differing opinions, Robb on the other hand just gets something in his head and doesn't budge on it.

……

I have no problem with differing opinions if they make sense.

My main issues in recent times is posters finding sticks to beat peoples with that are not there, when there is already a forest full of genuine branches to use.

Weird De Gea has become a decent goalkeeper again and Onana is below average. I think De Gea saves that deflected shot we conceded today.

Starting to think De Gea is right. A curse is against Man Utd. Suddenly De Gea is back to his old level of 6-7 years ago and Onana can only save shots at him.
