Twitter says it was a controlled explosion, bbc news said at about 9pm that they were planning to have a controlled explosion in a few minutes.

Alv that'd be crazy if it was and they just happened to find two bombs and prevent them from going off.
It's sad that people will mainly look at the death toll. People who lose limbs etc aren't often thought about.
