I might as well set this up quickly to help.
Basically, this is a tournament with only a simple founding idea to start on that everyone can get involved with to make into the "people's tournament" if you will.
The teams selected were all chosen for their differences in style but overall similarity in quality. The teams are all 4.5* teams so I hope the games will all be closely fought.
The teams are as follows:
Belgium - RVPM
Ivory Coast - Tez
Lazio - TopLad
Porto - Junioramo
PSG - Andrei
Marseille - Kanga
Napoli - BVB-MUFC
CSKA Moscow - Gunnersfiringblanks
Villarreal - ChelseaFC 1L1L1C
Kent - Juventus
Ludy - Liverpool
Reserves:
Spursboy - Dortmund
PsychoGooner - Valencia
Group A winner plays Group B runner-up. Group A runner-up plays Group C winner. Group B winner plays Group C runner up.
Group A (3 players)
Q.BVB-MUFC P2 W1 D1 L0 Pts4 GLS6 GLC4
Q.ChelseaFC 1L1L1C P2 W1 D0 L1 Pts3 GLS5 GLC4
Kanga P2 W0 D1 L1 Pts1 GLS2 GLC5
BVB vs Kanga 2-2
BVB vs ChelseaFC 4-2
ChelseaFC vs Kanga 3-0
Kanga has the unfortunate task of using Marseille as they are my personal favourite team on FIFA12, therefore he will be expected to win the tournament. It is not certain whether he will be able to cope under the pressure.
The other 2 players in his group are very capable and both have very strong forwards in their side, BVB with Cavani and ChelseaFC with Nilmar. This is a very difficult group to predict as, on their day, all 3 players are capable of winning the tournament. Nevertheless, a prediction I must make.
Winner: BVB
Runner-up: Kanga
Group B (4 players)
QAndrei P2 W2 D0 L0 Pts7 GLS10 GLC4
QTopLad P2 W1 D2 L0 Pts5 GLS5 GLC3
Ludy P3 W1 D1 L1 Pts4 GLS5 GLC6
Tez P3 W0 D0 L3 Pts0 GLS7 GLC14
Tez vs TopLad 2-4
Tez vs Andrei 2-6
TopLad vs Andrei 1-1
Ludy vs Tez 4-3
Ludy vs Andrei 1-3
Ludy vs TopLad 0-0
Now this is a very interesting group, indeed. I haven't played Tez so I don't know too much about his abilities but he does have the combined force of Drogba, Doumbia and Gervinho behind him so he has every chance of going through. Ludy, as we all know, is a formidable opponent and is very hard to break down. With Liverpool's solid defence behind him, he will certainly be no pushover. He also has the goal machine Andy Carroll ready to tear apart those meek foreign defenders. Andrei is also a strong opponent and has been, somewhat fortuitously, granted the use of one of his preferred teams in PSG. He has every chance of going far in this tournament.
The less said about TopLad, the better.
Winner: Andrei
Runner-up: Tez
Group C (4 players)
Q.Gunnersfiringblanks P2 W2 D0 L0 Pts6 GLS8 GLC2
Q.Kent P2 W1 D0 L1 Pts3 GLS5 GLC3
Junioramo P2 W0 D0 L2 Pts0 GLS2 GLC10
Kent vs Junioramo 4-1
Kent vs Gunners 1-2
Junioramo vs Gunners 1-6
Now, this group is difficult to decide. We all know Junioramo is a fantastic player but he has been given Porto to use. A team I know very little about. However, his skill should see him qualify in first so the question is: Who comes second?
Gunners has a combined force of CSKA Moscow and bucket loads of confidence which has led him to believe he should be the tournament favourite. Only time will tell if his confidence is mis-placed.
Kent has Juventus. The team I hate playing against more than any team on the game. I can't tell you how many times Matri has torn me apart on Head to Head. Okay, I can. It's twice but, still. He's a good player and Kent should be able to get the best out of him.
Winner: Junioramo
Runner-up: Kent
First group stage (10 teams)
Knockout round (6 teams)
Second group stage (3 teams)
Final (2 teams)
Knockout -
BVB v Toplad 1-0
Andrei v Kent 2-5
Gunnersfiringblanks v ChelseaFC 1-2
Second group stage -
Q.Kent P2 W1 D1 L0 Pts4 GLS4 GLC2
Q.BVB P2 W1 D1 L0 Pts4 GLS4 GLC3
ChelseaFC P2 W0 D0 L2 Pts0 GLS1 GLC4
BVB vs Kent 2-2
BVB vs ChelseaFC 2-1
Kent vs ChelseaFC 2-0
Final:
Kent vs BVB 1-2
CHAMPION BVB!!!!!!!
RUNNER-UP KENT!
Notes:
- All matches are to played with online squads.
- Tell me asap if you need to pull out, we don't want a repeat of last Sunday. Frankly, it pi$$ed off a lot of people when people don't turn up without warning.
- However, if anyone does pull out, hopefully a reserve can slot straight in, otherwise results will have to be voided for the knock-out stages.
- You have the whole week to play 3 games (approx. 45 mins total out of 100+ hours), so there really isn't an excuse for not playing all your group stage games by Sunday night. All of you go on FIFA multiple times a week. Let me know if there are any difficulties.
- Report any disputes here.

Kanga, you're lucky Junioramo did so poorly. I was considering putting you as flop of the tournament.

Flop of the tournament: EA for deciding to let Kent score three goals from corners.
