On a wing and a prayer!

Sick bay nearly full already.

From reports out :

Martin Woods, JOC, Martis, Stock, Chambers, Lockwood, Woods GK thought still to be in boot.

No CB signed yet.

And training has not even started!

I am glad I am not in Sean's position.

Its going to be a hard season.

Everything's Rosie - Everything's Rosie. Two months almost after the season has finished and Our beloved manager starts to look for players, We are doomed. Spec Savers and Lavender Shops open at 9am in Donny in the morning. I suggest that some of you get there.

DL, the stick that lad Friend took at Millwall last season from our so called supporters was despicable as I thought he had a terrific game. I was surprised and pleased that he developed in to a good CB. I don’t know about the leadership qualities but I did notice that Sam Hird had a terrific game in that respect. We lost the game in the last few minutes but I thought it was one our best performances of the season. The comment about more experience at the back I concur with but "more bodies at least" no thank you or we get back to what happened last season. This is where the guess work comes in and there is always an element of that in all acquisitions. With Thomas, Sousa and Kilgallon it just did not work out.

I think it is clear that I was not scaremongering and as a result I hope more people are aware of Sean's very difficult position.

Fuzzy, I hope articles like this does have some influence on supporters views because if it doesn't what's the point of the debate? And it is important to look at both sides of a debate to form an opinion.

I have now taken my happy pills and put on my special glasses.

Sean knows what he is doing and I am sure he has somebody in mind for CB, I would like to see him in place at Brighton but I have growing doubts.

Whatever the result I will be there for the full 90mins and I will not make one negative comment.

By the way,Alex, DL and Fuzzy,

Watford have today signed hardman centre half Mirfin from Scunny and Brighton have signed Mickail-Smith from Peterborough. Let's hope there are some gems in the free agent trialists we have at training.

Rovers giving trials to a 19 yrs old defender from Villa called Deeney, I believe he is a left back

Rovers player has first day training footage - a few new faces there

Your a bit behind the times with that one, it was news on Saturday, Watford fans were talking about it yesterday. Even the Vikings site got it this morning.
He is a left back, well rated by Villa fans, has had experience of being Captain at youth level so maybe a bit of organisation may rub off onto our defence.

There is a first with comments on a Watford forum. They wanted Ellis Deeney themselves and one said "We just cant compete with the bigger clubs" meaning us the bigger club. Have we ever been called a bigger club since leaving the Conference?

From looking closer at the picks and video can I see Danny Shittu and Luke Summerfield or do I need to go to Spec savers

Ok I think Alex and I are just about on the same wavelength.

Doomed? No. We are better equipped than we were at the end of last season (which doesn't take much). The must-signings for me are a decent CB and a striker. Nice-to-haves...a wide midfielder or two. It's good to see all those trialists.

For me, we have the toughest opening game in the division. Away to the promoted league champions in first game in a brand-new stadium. Brighton have already sold 17000 season ticket! (wow!) so it will be a full house, party atmosphere for the Brighton boys. To spoil that party will be an achievement for any team.

To be honest, the first month is tough. I wouldn't be surprised if we lost our first three. Points at Derby and home to Bristol will be my first barometer. Anything more is a bonus.
